Why we need to Trade Jefferson through February 6th (Stats)

This makes sense if you don't watch the team. But nobody else knows basketball, right? It's good to know that Jefferson's points don't actually count (at a low efficiency) and we should strike them from the record.

This thread comes down to those who have eyeballs and those who have a mental deficiency. The Jazz demand that Jefferson score ever possession. The offense depends on him. He takes these possessions because they're giving it to him. Watch a game.

Sure Jefferson's points count, but so do all the ones that he gives up on the other end.

Jefferson needs to boost his FG% by about 10% before it even begins to justify his terrible defense.

I mean, just watching this game it should be incredibly obvious.

How many times do you have to see Jefferson let his man destroy him or just watch somebody penetrate and score before you realize it?

His 1 on 1 defense is easily below average and his help defense is non-existent. It's been this way his entire career and it's a huge reason why he's never in his life been on a winning team.

To the slower kids who think our offense is toast without Jefferson, he didn't score ONCE during our comeback, and our offense DIED when he came back and it went through him again to finish the game.

In every game he's missed, the Jazz have not had trouble scoring. Scoring was down I'll admit, but only by a bit compared to the insane boost our defense got.

Ok, that's 2 games that are completely on Big Al.

Todays game:
1st Quarter-Terrible D on Hibbert
4th Quarter-Terrible clutch time performance
New York game:
Incredibly awful pick n roll D allowing Lin to get anywhere.

As I said screw offense. take care of defense and the offense comes

Jefferson costing the Jazz the game is nothing compared to the fact he's costing them their future.

Trade Jeff at trade deadline. More picks and flexibility. I'd rather have a growing pains team than the always tease but always lose bunch and always disappoint. Favors starting C

Wait.... Wait..... Let's see those such as Craig that defend Al explain this once since it is what happens every game. This time is just happened at the end of the game. You going to highlight his 4 assists? 1 of those 4 was a good pass. The other three he gave it up with under 4 on the clock and got bailed out.

we could get in a 3 way deal with orland(not interseted in dwight howard since he is demanding a trade)
but throwing Jefferson in the mix in a 3 way.
i mean people are disillusioned bout him and only see stats so he might have trade value

I'm probably not saying much that hasn't already been mentioned, so I'll just throw in my additional two cents.

Even if Big Al had a solid performance tonight as opposed to that hot mess he produced, I'd still be advocating for trading him. It's more strategic than game-to-game performance. This is an exciting yet tremendously lopsided roster - you have four frontcourt guys who could start for over half the teams in the league, and a starting PG who is in the bottom 15% of starting PGs league wide.

You move the oldest bigman - which also happens to be the one with the best offensive numbers and looks to be the most impressive on paper. The kind of guy who can take an established team to the next level, yet who hinders the growth of a team like Utah.

Very well said....

people again with the aj-hatin'.

for all his limitations he is clearly the best offensive option we have on the team. as pointed out elsewhere, our terrible 3-point shooting means he is constantly double-teamed and often enough he still finds a way to score.

he may not be a guy who can single-handedly deliver us a championship but why is everyone convinced he is the main problem with our team? his defense? (never mind the fact that over the past week our guards have been lit up by not only the likes of kobe, paul and tyreke evans, but also curry/ellis, roddy beaubois and the inestimable jeremy lin.)

This thread comes down to who understand basketball and who doesn't

puh-lease
