What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Bradley's an NBA prospect but I can't say I'm a big fan of his game. He needs to add explosion in the worst way. He jumps like a 7-footer and he's 6'8", maybe 6'9".

Simply put - He's of Noah Vonleh dimensions and considerably less athletic. And would need a minor miracle to go 1-and-done and in the 2017 draft.

I'd have him ranked in the very late 40's (not the late 20's). Some of the bigs in the 20-50 range that I prefer are, Omari Spellman(Villanova), De'Ron Davis, Robert Williams(Tex A&M - another Houston Hoops player), Justin Jackson(UNLV), Udoka Azubuike, Javin DeLaurier, James Banks and Mamadi Diakite.

**** I might even prefer Jethro Tsishumpa(ASU), ranked #76 by Scout. Jethro's of similar dimensions to Bradley(except Bradley's skinny and Tsishumpa's jacked) He's even more raw offensively, but figures to be much more of a menace blocking shots(he goes after everything) and grabbing boards.

damn... Scout did Shamorie Ponds dirty in this latest update. Of the 6' PG's from this class, Ponds, from Brooklyn is easily one of the best. A sweet-shooting---scoring---lefty PG, with the ball on a string. Scout's got him as the 19th best PG in the class, and #79 overall.

He seems to show well vs high-ranked competition every time I watch him, (which is on full display in this video, Thats Duval and Brown trying to guard him at 0;24 and 0;35, the 2 highest ranked PG's in the hs c/o '17). He seemed like the odd man out on those Elite 24 rosters but showed way better than anyone could've expected.

Chris Mullin has made Ponds a top priority, and he's expected to go to St. Johns.

Of the 6-foot PG's I'd have Cassius Winston ranked first, then Shamorie tied for 2nd with Charlie Moore and Alterique Gilbert.

I heard Ponds dropped 45 vs a Mustapha Heron led team at Dyckman park about a week or 2 ago, they said he had Heron(who's a five-star, 6'7" wing) looking foolish.

Here's a mix of Tshisumpa, who was relatively unknown not long ago.. I assume he'd be the muscle in ASU's frontcourt if they land Thon Maker. He went from unranked to the 70's. Mixes like these are highly entertaining to me.

Yes, as an actual NC fan I certainly hope he is not a one and done guy. This season NC should finally see some fruit born from having guys who are not one and done. Hopefully the experience of NC players will trump the one and doners of KY and Duke.

UNC should be solid this year, finally. They'll have legit upperclassman next season too.

How can they fail with mixtape legend Luke Maye?

Maybe Malik Monk can run point after-all. Here's a new mix highlighting his skillz..

Luke Maye= Beast. However, i wonder if he may not redshirt this year. UNC pretty deep with big men.

UNC is a bit of an enigma for me this year.
Whereas every major prognosticator has the heels in the top 3, and with the talent, experience, and depth, it's now wonder... but I also look back and see a 12 loss season last year, the loss of high energy and big time defensive presence Tokoto, and not anything great as far as a recruiting class.

Your bigs should be great (I assume strides from Theo) but not sure about your 3pt shooting or your defensive identity.
Will be interesting to see how it comes together. The ingredients are there to justify a preseason #1, but I think many are also ignoring some pretty glaring question marks.

I doubt Justin Jackson shoots .304 from 3 again, He's got a pure shot. Scratch him from the 2016 draft if he does.

Paige has been shooting quality %'s on high volume for years now. Joel Berry II might be decent. Other then them its a crapshoot.

UNC looks like a top-3 team IMO.

Logical top 3, I agree... But having lost 12 games last year and no real additions to replace JP.. I could see a disappointing season too.

I am not at all worried about Tokoto going. He is a terrible shooter. The Williams kid we got is supposed to be able to shoot. We should completely dominate teams on the inside. If UNC is able to get to at least the final four it should really help in getting the top recruits.

Miles Bridges and Malik Monk to UK?!?

4-star Koby McEwen to Utah St.! that's a monumental get for them. He's infact the top Canadian PG in the class of 2016. Had offers from Baylor, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, New Mexico State and Ole Miss to name a few.

Somebody needs to tell Dennis Smith Jr he accidentally put a State at the end of his college choice.
