What's new

Jazz VS. Celtics: Monday, February 29th, 2016 - Leap Year!

Even though we lost, and had a good shot at it, we played really good vs Boston at home. Can't complain there.

Intelligent life still lives... That's not a game we should win... We had a good shot at winning... Our main guys missed shots. It's basketball... It happens.

Mack was one of the very few players who played well tonight, it's blindingly obvious he's our best PG, and people think the problem is he started.

lol.

If A happens and B happens A must have caused B...

Anybody remember how out of his depth Trey Lyles was at the beginning of the season? Took him several games just to hit a single basket. So happy to see him developing as quickly as he has. Think he'll improve every year as he gets stronger and the game slows down for him.

This team has 99 problems but Mack ain't one.

This is the type of loss that makes me hate life. Especially that ****ing offensive rebound off the FT miss.

Ugh.

52 shots by Hayward, Hood, and Favors, they connected on just 15 of them. That's 28% shooting by your main guys. That's just bad.
And I thought the chucking would stop with Burke out of the lineup.

Lindsey should stop the nonsense of judging guys on their balance and Jazz DNA, Just get players who can MAKE baskets!

Hey Jody, when is the media going to start criticizing Dennis Lindsey and his FAILURE to get anyone of note through free agency or trade? Two straight seasons of having the 28th payroll in the NBA. The somber mood is probably the players realizing the team could be SO much better if any money was actually spent, Why should Hayward and then Favors re-sign with an organization that is so cheap?

These types are losses are ok IF you have given up on this season. If we are going to make a playoff run these losses are back breakers.

Rodney said earlier about making the playoffs not being the big goal, but it was just about getting better.

Maybe this isn't the goal or focus of the team. They really don't look like they are in it to win it.

If they are packing it up so should we. Lets just start looking at individual improvement, and get another lotto pick.

2017!!!

You saw the replay -- Rudy was not only grabbed around the shoulder but the Celtic pushed off Rudy's shoulder to propel himself around him to get the ball. It was so blatantly a foul.

This fanbase is tired of moral victories...

On top of that, late turnovers and missed free throws are not the type of mistakes a 6th year player should be making(I'm looking at you Hayward!).

DL got Grant Jarrett and Tibor Pleiss in the Kanter trade.

By the way Kanter has been beasting lately. DL works only during draft time. He is a bluffer.

Not to mention the way he handled Burke situation, his trade value will be zero at the end of the season.

Concerning yesterday's game, credit to the Celtics fans that cheered loudly for their team the entire game, they made the difference!

I wonder if there are free throw splits by quarter. To see if Hayward really misses a higher percentage in the 4th or if people only think that because they remember him missing in the 4th and not as much in other quarters.

He is shooting %72.2 in 4th quarters but his %FG and %3FG are up. He is also shooting %100 from free throws during overtime.

I watched it on replay in slow motion.

Gobert first hooked Johnson with the left arm, Rudy grabbed Johnson's jersey, then Johnson retaliated and pushed off. A very bad play by Gobert with lame boxout and lucky he did not get called for the foul.

I really like Locke, but for goodness sake, he has become a whining lunatic.

We've had some bad calls against us on some games, this was not one of us. We got beat. The refs called a good game. Let's get rid of this persecution complex. It is a loser's mentality.

Final note: No shame in coming close on the road against a good Celtics team. Our shooting % sucked. Their defense was great. Might be a correlation from which we can learn.
