What's new

Celtics v. Jazz: Feb. 28th @ 7:00pm MST

from the boxscore it looks like Al was beasting again. huge rebound night. was he actually boxing out tonight?

That was rough.

But Favors... man. That kid is going to be good. That post up and1 was a thing of beauty. Looked polished and he showed some strength and skill I didn't know he had. It's a shame that we have two other really good bigs.

Jefferson is playing with passion and confidence lately and I'm loving it.

But yeah. That was rough. The calls got better at the end of the game, but most of that 4th quarter was just a bail-out job. Watson couldn't get a call one way or another to save his life, and that AK no-call was worth 5 points.

Oh well.

did anyone here at the end of the game Matt saying the good teams will find a way to win, and bad teams find a way to loose?!? referring to the jazz!!!

I thought I'd never live to see the day that Paul Millsap is Utah's best jump shooter.

Favors will be a player, I've known that since the first time I saw him. But the kid already plays with a lot of poise too. I loved how he just calmly picked up that loose ball and then leaped over Glen Davis' laid-out fatness for the jam.

The jazz need an SG who can slash and play off of Al and Favors in the post. That could conceivably be Hayward, but he's not exactly explosive.

Can anyone post Favors highlights?

A few things come to mind when thinking about why the Jazz lost this game.

1. Bell subbing in for Hayward in the 4th. You keep Hayward in this game. Why? Bell got absolutely embarrassed by Ray Allen, who he let take a number of wide-open shots. You can't let Ray catch fire like that. Hayward at least got in Ray's face.
2. As much as I like Millsap, Favors should've played at least a few more minutes in the final quarter. He was making a difference out there. Either that or keep Kirilenko on the bench and go big with Favors at the small forward position. I think Favors is quick enough to guard the likes of Pierce.

Just my two and half cents.

Another showing from the valiant effort Jazz tonight.

Wish the Jazz had a guy with just half of Ray Allen's shooting ability.

to be fair, there's not much you can do when ray gets hot like that. the shots he hit over AK and on the break (catch and shoot) were just ridiculous.

Thoughts for tonight:

1. Celtics fans have become WORSE than Laker fans. Not even close. We saw a dad and his kid get beer dumped on them by two douche Celtics fans who were then escorted out to a chorus of boo's. The girls in front of us were super drunk and didn't shut up once the entire game. If I had had a beer or two in me I would have probably done something bad out of retaliation.

2. Favors had more rebounds than Millsap in half the minutes. Totally pathetic. Millsap is getting outworked every game. What happened to him?

3. Favors.

4. Favors.

5. Refs were horrendous. The NBA is a joke.

6. - 10. Favors
