I was at work and got an alert from the KSL app that there was an active shooter at my daughter's school. I'd never driven 90 in a snow storm before.


I should add she is okay, but scared.

Happy to hear she is fine. I can only imagine the fear that goes into us as parents when you hear this.

Curious, did the DAMN "this is an important message from Davis School District" phone call come too? In a timely manner? The schools use that avenue all the time with worthless crap to the point where a real "important message" I may send to voicemail and ignore for hours.

I got the call about 5-10 minutes after the breaking news came through on my phone.
 
Damn bro, serious stuff. Glad it turned out okay.

Oh, and that the kid didn't get the chance to give his crazy speech. I don't think you fire into the ceiling if you're getting serious right away.
 
My wife was driving by there to drop the son off at pre school. She said it looked like a huge accident because of all the cop cars. I am so happy nothing too serious happened. It's extremely scary, glad your kids are ok.
 
I guess the 911 call went out at 8:15. There was a cop patrolling close enough that he was there within about one minute.
My daughter was on the other end of the school. When we talked to her, she was crying and scared.

I've never seem so many cops, FBI, and ATF agents in one place in my life.
 
Some kinda coincidence this happens days after OP is advocating for kids using guns.. amiright or amiright???
