"Alternative Facts": Trump's War on the Media

Best tweets about this extremely sad event:

"Finding these Bowling Green Massacre jokes to be a little too soon. Out of respect, we should wait until it takes place."

"Hey, congrats to all the people who voted for the geniuses who think Sandy Hook was fake and Bowling Green was real."

i only wished you had intellectual honesty, and made fun of the left when they lie or misspoke!

An administration that accuses the media of "fake news" seems to have no problem creating "fake news" itself. It's been doing it from day one. Just as Trump did it throughout his campaign. Just as Trump did it throughout the years he led the birther lie( he told us we would not believe what his investigators in Hawaii discovered, lol, lol. He was a liar then. He is a liar now.)

Would you like to know the definition of fake news? Fake news=any news that says anything, anything at all, that might cast Trump in an unflattering light Fake news is actually a lie of convenience, invented by the Right, to dismiss accurate information that is not convenient to their vision of who Trump is and what he represents.

"i only wished you had intellectual honesty, and made fun of the left when they lie or misspoke!"

Oh, you mean I should practice what you preach? Emulate your willingness to point out the Right's bald face lies and fake news? lMAO....

So, where were you the day the massacre didn't happen?

This thread was about the creation of the term "alternate facts", used by Kellyanne Conway to somehow cover over both Trump's and Spicer's asinine claim that Trump's inauguration attracted the largest inauguration crowd in history. The "Bowling Green Massacre", was another one of her "alternative facts". Since even she realized that claim was over the top, she has since retracted it, and actually blamed the media for not asking her if she was mistaken!!! Her asinine audacity knows no limits! Why in the world would I reach back years to Hillary's lies when the subject is this new doublespeak term of "alternative facts"? We are not dealing with Hillary anymore. Trump is now President, and it is his team inventing alternative facts, and it is him and his team inventing fake news. Try sticking to the subject. Can you not relate your own memories of the Bowling Green Massacre? You were perfectly willing to tell us how our eyes were lying to us about the crowd size.

Every time the news media reports anything un complimentary about Trump, there you are jumping in, usually in caps, yelling "FAKE NEWS!!!". It is the ultimate convenient excuse, which you use, without thinking, without bothering finding out the facts. It is a simple reflexive reaction on your part. You speak of intellectual honesty, yet you seem to have no desire to actually use your own intellect at all. A report does not portray Trump in a positive light? FAKE NEWS!!! Could it possibly get any lazier and intellectually dishonest then that? I think not. You don't have to think at all. Just yell "FAKE NEWS!" and that's the end of it for people like yourself. That won't work with me, and you ought to know that by now.

Real question. Do you enjoy being the most boring alt on this site? Put in some work bro this is some banal ish.

If I remember right Red came here as a fan of Bryce Cotton a few years ago and has stuck around. So, not any kind of alt and a much, much better poster than the fake clowns around here that criticize him for having a real point of view. Keep up the good word, Red.

Does anybody here remember the "Bowling Green Massacre"?? If you do, that's because you live in Kellyanne Conway's alternative universe, lol. I'm beginning to spot a trend here in the administration's logic, lol...

If you have any memories of the "Bowling Green Massacre", please feel free to share them here. Were you there?

My imaginary friend's twin brother was there. It was a dark day. She cried for hours in the closet. I shall never forget.

Red is a high quality, high signal to noise ratio, intelligent poster.

We could use a lot more like him.

In their bubble of reality it's real. Anyone who doesn't agree with their agenda is fake or false.

This is what happens when you put a thin skinned boy with no experience in offce.

When your first political speech is a hate filled paranoid diatribe you have to have man up.

If you cant take it, don't dish it out.

Just like his supporters, Trump can't take it. He's the seventh-grade punk leading his seventh-grade minions who don't have a good enough influence in their lives to recognize that he is an idiot and so are they. Bad parenting has led us down this road.

Thx str8line/Red/Jonah. Only Q is why make such a obvious defensive post?

Thanks, yeah, I did show up here as a Cotton homer. And, I mentioned in some post a long time ago that I stuck around, one, as a Jazz fan, Utah is my favorite state outside of home, and more to the point, I thought there were a great many thoughtful, intelligent posters here. That really impressed me, the degree to which posters put real thought and effort into their comments. I did not know at the time that there would probably never be a time when a Trump thread would not be on the front page, lol, but I've enjoyed posting my points of view, and I do make an effort to provide thought provoking, non BS articles, etc.

BTW, Cotton plays for Perth in the Australian League now, and turned down a 10 day from Atlanta to finish out the season in Australia.

Forum Laws aside, Boris should really be banned. He pushes off good posters, while being a non-contributing troll alt himself. If this was basketball, his RPM would be like -12. Wouldn't want him on my team.

This interview of Donald Trump by Bill O'Reilly was nearly as entertaining as the Super Bowl.

This interview of Donald Trump by Bill O'Reilly was nearly as entertaining as the Super Bowl.

He did all but say "yes Mr. President Trump. Right away Mr. President Trump." But I'll give O'Reilly points for not trying to kiss his ring afterward.
