Hayward reportedly torn ..

Hills injuries are not chronic and his injury history is good. No reason to believe last season was anything other than a fluke.

But that's certainly possible. Would still love a Hill, Beverly and Exum PG rotation.

Toe and foot problems can be chronic. He took time off and it did not get better.

Exactly, and this is why I think it’s all BS. I think Boston is going to be going after Blake Griffin, he fits their need at a position they could use help at.

Also may not get full max because of health concerns and might be done with CP3

They turned down #3 for Jimmy Butler straight up.

The stupidity of this continues to astound me. Best case Tatum turns into Butler. If they get Hayward "for free" Tatum gets buried. If you get a chance to snag Butler for something you can easily afford, you do that, every damn day. This is why you stockpile assets. And ESPECIALLY when you draft like ***, like the Celtics have been doing. ALWAYS take the sure thing.

Ainge is a good GM but seems to be consumed with raping everybody in trades and so he never really packages stuff together... has hurt them the last couple years.

I think he's making a lot of assumptions and I hope it comes back to bite him in the balls.

We will have to give up an asset to give him... if they wanted to move him for just space 29 teams could figure that out real quick.

If we give up an asset to get Beverly it isn't to have him back up Hill (with Exum and Mitchell both on the roster too)

We'd use Hill's money on another position of need.

Eh, give them the OKC Pick, or our pick next year. They need zero salary back. Not many teams that want to get Beverly can send no salary back. We are likely dumping Mack, Neto, Withey, and Diaw. Bring Mitchell along slowly. If he blows up, we could get a nice price for Hood, who we likely won't be able to afford later anyway.

Unless all of the apparent obsession with SF's is a smokescreen for his eventual signing of Griffin. Then he is a genius. At that point everything lines up and makes sense.

Or the rumored deal in place for George is
true. Tatum for George; Hayward signs as a free agent. That's best case for Boston.

Calling it now.

Jazz get Beverly and then re-sign Hayward, Hill and Ingles.

Boston strikes out.

Jazz are the only one to improve.

Mack and Neto won't be on the team this season IMO. Neither will Withey.

Gobert/Bradley
Favors/Bolomboy/Diaw
Hayward/Ingles/JJ
Hood/Mitchell/Burks
Hill/Beverly/Exum

No set rotations. Just a players list. Jazz D, toughness, rebounding, shooting and PG rotation play all improve.

2nd seed and WCFs.

1-4:

Warriors
Jazz
Spurs (if the land CP3)
Rockets.

I agree with something similar to this. But I think if we get Beverley then Hill is gone. I think Neto stays, Burks goes. And I still think Favors is likely moved because he's headed for FA next year and I don't think we'd re-sign him.

Hill will stay or go based on how much we give him. Not based on who his back up is.

Or do you mean that if we get Beverley than the Jazz won't go after Hill? If so I disagree. I think they actually see that as one of the cheapest and easiest ways they can upgrade the roster and maintain their defensive identity.

Beverley gets 5.5 million next year.

Macks is a free agent, Neto gets 1 mill. Plus the 1.4 mill they save in the deal to get Mitchell. That means the team really only spent 3.1 million and upgraded their bench and PG play. This makes to much sense not to do it.

Unless the Rockets are asking for something unreasonable.

The hold up I think, is that the Jazz have a few other possibilities on the PG front and they are just seeing what they like best.

So basically you just don't think they will.

DL is actively looking at PGs and is still meeting with Hill when free agency opens. PG rotation play was one of two biggest areas of concern this season. Imo

DL sending mixed signals on the pg situation.

He is actively looking for a pg, he drafts some combo guards and talks up how Exum is going to be 'tremendous'.

I guess he is just giving Quin a bunch of contingencies ..... (But would love to really know what he thinks)...

Does anybody pause at the idea of giving Hill and Hayward a combined $50 million this summer? Thats over half our cap number with it now being $99 million.

I like them both, but really think about those numbers for a little bit. I want to keep Hayward, but signing Hill to make Hayward stay can bite us in the ***.

I think Hill at $18+ will feel like a Ryan Anderson, Luol Deng, Noah or Brandon Knight salary anchor deal sooner rather than later.
