He's definitely a super-star in the marketing sense.
True. If I'm a GM, I like quite a few PGs ahead of Kyrie to run my team. Will be interesting to see how this goes.

Both teams win here. Thomas is everything to hate about Irving the basketball player, except seven (!!!) inches shorter, almost 5 years older, and simply not as good. At least in the short term, this makes Boston better.
What I want to know is what impact losing their two best defensive players and doing nothing to improve their D, toughness, rebounding, or rim protection is going to have. Boston's going to be really good, but I honestly think Hayward is going to really miss playing with Rudy. Boston is going to put up 120 points a night, and give up 114.
Boston is worse. They're losing two defensive studs and efficient offensive players. Not to mention the locker room chemistry figures to be considerably worse. If they were in the West they might be the 7th-8th seed.
Boston is probably worse next year, but they set themselves up better for the future. They don't have to rely on a draft pick developing. You got to think Brad Stevens can unlock Kyrie's full potential then you hope Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum really emerge as the 3rd star down the line. They also still have the Lakers pick (though I know that has weird protections guidelines on it).
Also have no idea how you can speculate on locker-room chemistry at this point.
that's why it's called "speculation" mate. I'm just making it up.
but even your good self would have to think the stories about Kyrie not speaking to teammates during the playoffs are a little disturbing ???
Kyrie might be a weird dude. I think he is someone who worships Kobe and probably trends towards the antisocial side of things. Hayward seems to be a similar type of personality. Are these great locker-room personalities? Probably not, but I don't see them as detrimental forces. Prior to contrary belief teammates don't have to be BFFs to win games.
sure. He's just been misunderstood, he's merely a victim of circumstance.
course not, but given Gordon isn't exactly a locker room leader and the big turnover of players in addition to the shock of their leader being traded it seems a reasonable chance there's a vacuum of leadership in that locker room ? Marcus Smart doesn't seem to be either the most stable or brightest tool in the shed. What happens if there's little niggling locker room issues, particularly if things go bad ? I think that's gonna actually be one of the strengths of the Jazz this year that may help us to slightly overachieve.
1) Hayward isn't the man on his team anymore
2) Ainge blew it

I am a very, very ****ing happy Jazz fan today.
Who is the starting PF on opening night? Marcus Morris? Jaylen Brown? Jayson Tatum?
I just need Wade to go to Cleveland and this offseason will be a perfect wrap for me. **** Haywad.
Looks like they get along great to me. I see a close bond growing.
This trade is a firm C, *at best*, for Boston.
I'm so ****ing amped about Hayward's decision biting him in the ***.
lol a little too close a bond i think ...
