You're forgetting recent history - the Cavs will win the lottery and THEN screw up the pick since there's not a consensus #1

I doubt it changed things very much, the Knicks weren't a playoff team anyway and not sure this injury changed that.

They've already got Fournier and to me they're fairly similar, so not sure they'll feel that compelled to trade Gordon for Hood.

Rubio is playing like a top-10 PG. He's adjusting to Quin's system pretty well, and his contract is reasonable through next season. You don't trade that for a mid or late 1st-rd pick.

If you want to package Rubio and Hood for the Brooklyn pick and take back a contract like Shumpert, then maybe that's a discussion. You're now counting on Exum, which is a risky proposition.

The Knicks could and should have a fire sale. There is no reason to keep a Courtney Lee, Lance Thomas, O'Quinn or maybe even Kanter. They need to try to lose their remaining games.
