When Green struggles to score the Green/Niang combo is such a massive disaster because neither rebound, neither are playmakers, neither force turnovers, Green is shooting only 46% from 2 and Niang has no game at all inside the arc, neither draw fouls. One can only score (when he's hot) and defend (when he wants too) and the other can only shoot.
Why was it ever even an idea to pair the two? Seriously.
Then you got Ed Davis who is struggling big time to add to it... god.
I actually think Royce would work okay next to Green if we move Royce to the bench after Mike gets back. Green can be an okay bench piece if we have the right pieces next to him on the floor to minimize his off nights. You can't have Niang and Davis providing nothing next to him.
I'd go
Gobert/Bradley
Bogdanovic/Green
Ingles/Oneale
Mitchell
Conley/Mudiay
If Quin wants a tenth guy getting minutes then try Exum, Oni, Brantley, whoever. Just not Niang.
