DANTE TRADED TO CAVS

After letting this trade marinate.... I'm going to take a wait and see approach.

I stand by my initial impression IF that is our only move.

But after thinking about I think this might be just the first of multiple moves to improve our bench. We might be looking into moving a few of the young guys into the rotation eventually. Or targeting a few buyout targets in February.

We'll see how it goes

If Clarkson never plays a minute we are better off than we were.

If he can only improve the bench scoring slightly, it’s a big win.

And I think Ben Anderson pointed it out on Twitter, but Clarkson will instantly be our 4th best plus/minus player. He’s not an absolute disaster as you’ve painted him.

Regardless he is still better than Exum ever was

The two 2nd-rd picks were the ones we acquired when we flipped Favors to NOLA, I think.

They served their purpose. Just don't get wth people want. Everyone cries about Exum being ****, the bench playing like butt so we ship him for a volume scorer and you'd think we got shafted in the trade.

Can we trade Jazz and all the Bustum supporters to Cleveland for future considerations also? I'm so glad we will not hear those losers anymore preaching about that crappy ball player with the days to come

What are you even talking about? Go back and read my posts. I NEVER painted Clarkson as an "absolute disaster".

What I said is that Clarkson with the CURRENT bench unit makes little sense because 1) Clarkson and Mudiay are both score first guards, 2) Mudiay/Green/Niang are already a poor defensive group and Clarkson is a poor defender too, 3) Mudiay/Green/Niang do not create deflections, steals or blocks and neither does Clarkson, 4) Mudiay/Green/Niang are all low assist guys and the ball tends to stick, it sticks with Clarkson too.

My entire concern with the trade in my previous posts was framed within the context of whether or not Clarkson fits.

Never said he was bad.
