Are the Jazz going to trade Rudy?

People don’t understand the cap... if we let Rudy walk we won’t have meaningful space until Bojan comes off the books. So we can wait for a few years and hope a great free agent comes here to pair with DM... or we could just pay for the AS center to stay here... it’s a pretty easy choice but the mystery box could be anything... it could even be something as good as Rudy?!???

We literally would have 15M of cap space if Conley and Rudy both walked. Nowhere near the amount needed for a star player. People think because they both came off the books that we’d have infinite cap space.

At that point, however, if someone wanted to sign with us the Jazz could move a contract or two to make room.

This should be taken with a grain of salt. Grant is a reporter for the Pacers and I have no idea whether or not he knows what the hell he's talking about when it comes to Rudy and the Jazz.

Not fake news but it comes from a college football reporter and was then spun off as reputable... Locke was pretty clear on multiple mediums that the report was false and he is actually sourced... but sure let’s continue talking about Rudy being a selfish overpriced diva based on **** the color guy for the Clippers said.

My dog says he will sign a minimum deal... let’s discuss.

So then I guess you're more reliable than Porter Larsen? Yeah whatever, go talk to your dog.

Porter Larsen is a college football radio talk show host. He was directly refuted by Tim McMahon and David Locke. Yeah...for some reason I don't think the Utah Utes radio show guy and a random low tier Pacers bloggers are more wired into the situation than anyone else.

The dumb *** articles are exactly why they do this. They get cited by every aggregator site on the web and it gets taken like gospel.

$40 million a year is more than any other NBA team could or would pay Rudy next summer.

And we are doing to give it to him for 5 years?

Worst decision ever.

And yet according to Grant Afseth (thanks LoPo), the Jazz are expected to give him the supermax.

He's decent, but does he give 110 every night like Don? Does he have the sweetest stroke in the game like Bogey? Does he sumo wrestle muscle bound alphas like Favors? Hell, he's not even funny like Niang and Ingles. It's been so long since he led the league in blocks or rebounds. Yeah, he had a good run with the DPOYs but those days are done. I mean he's tall, that's about the best I can say about him. But do we give him Lebron/Giannis money for that?

Paul George just signed a 5 year deal for $190M. I'm guessing Rudy gets about the same. Jazz will include incentives like All Defensive Team, DPOY, All NBA, etc.
