Agreed. Especially at least twice on those last plays tonight, that's really stupid. Twice Gobert literally had a single step and dunk. When Royce had the ball on the left wing he looked at Gobert, no one there but Coghnaton and Royce turned and threw the ball to Mitchell so he could take on 3 defenders and fight his way to the rim. Mitchell made it but man that was a bad call. They need to do a way way better job getting Gobert involved. One reason they could double and triple Mitchell every single play at the end there, was because they knew that they could put any single guy on gobert under the basket, and we wouldn't do anything to try to get him the ball. If we had even gotten the ball in there once for a dunk, it would have taken a lot of the pressure off the perimeter. I cannot figure out why this is not even in the playbook at all for us. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they should give the ball to Gobert at the top of the key and let him do some magic or something, these were plays where he was within 3 ft of the basket and had a simple single step and dunk. Or the smaller guy would have to mug him to stop him. It's just dumb that we don't consider that at all, in favor of our smallest players taking on their biggest players in hero ball.
That's the problem I see. We have bigs that can score down low, and we settle for jumpers.

I'm sure though that Quinn sees Mitchell driving through 5 guys with a miracle shot at a bad angle off the backboard as he falls out of bounds a better option than Gobert dunking on Coghnaton. Or however your spell that.

not really. all we have is Hassan but as much as I love his play in a jazz uniform so far in the season, i don't see him as someone who can score in the low post at a consistent level. we can definitely use him on a situational basis though.

But still pulling down a 7 figure paycheck. Damn I got into the wrong business. How many jobs would keep paying you 7 figures when you **** up so royally.

Grayson is shooting 48.7% from deep in the regular season against us since the trade.

Look at how Brooklyn is using LMA. We should play to ALL of our players strengths. I wish Q would see that. Whiteside was putting up 13 ppg on a Blazers squad that had two volume shooters. How can we not find shots for our bigs?

Were those 13 ppg on post up moves or lobs, putbacks, and free throws though?

The streak is over for Clarkson...and deservedly so. Man he's shooting bad. Though he had some decent baskets in the 4th. Oh well, hopefully he can start another one, or just start shooting better.

Hopefully it helps him play better.
His chucking is really, really wearing thin with me. What's the point of having a bunch of unselfish and efficient players if all those possessions just get flushed down the crapper?

The second Butler looks competent I might get kinda antsy about seeing what we can get for Clarkson.
