Trade Mitchell (Include Clarkson)

The largest part of the problem is ego and perspective. Don, like many great players, think they can be or are the best player in the league. They literally think that and believe the far majority of their team’s failures lie on their teammates. That if their teammates simply stepped their game up, or their teammates were better, they’d be able to win a ring.

Which is the problem. What these great players fail to realize is they are not transcendent superstars. They aren’t Lebron, Giannis, or even Durant or Doncic with a combination of unGodly skill and size. Little 6’2” Donnie has his own dick stuffed in his mouth, blind to the fact that he’ll never be those guys ever. It’s physically impossible. He will simply never be that great and since he can’t shoot like Steph Curry, he won’t be him either. To guys like that, the game is simple. For skill and/or physical profile reasons. Not for Don. He has to work his *** off for everything he gets on the court. It’s difficult. So once Don realizes his only way of winning it here will be to embrace his teammates, take accountability, play some lockdown defense to set the example and watch his teammates follow, the quicker the team will improve and actually have a chance at winning it all.

Jazz say no. Mitchell craps all over jaylen as a self creator and playoff performer. Stop being knee jerk due to mid season funk without Rudy. This is ridiculous smh. You want to rely on a 34 year old who can't play back to backs as your maim offensive engine?

No, I want to rely on a world class defense and Jaylen Brown. Conley is just the vocal leader.

It's not knee jerk. Donovan is a undersized two guard who plays no defense and takes no accountability for doing so.

Let's see what Brown can do as the undisputed #1 scoring option.

What would the trade be? Don for Brown straight up?

No, Don/Clarkson for Brown/Smart.

I think straight up.

Don has more team control than Brown with the longer contract (Brown has 2 years left after this year vs 4 for Donovan). So even if the Celtics think Brown > Donovan, the team control side is on Donovan's side.

Since I think the Celtics are overall getting more value in a straight up deal, I think it makes sense to add a Clarkson/Smart swap. Make them both starters, move Royce to the bench. Or hell, possibly move Bogey to the bench (maybe to galaxy brain, just start best players).

This is good… revive the silliest thread of the year… I have no doubt Don goes on a tear now to make this look as dumb as it really is.

If we gonna do this we gotta try to flip Bogey and Clarkson for someone too. A complete overhaul. Burn this ************ down.

Enjoy the fools gold until the Jazz inevitably give up 140 in a playoff play in game to the T'Wolves and Mitchell gets stripped by Patrick Beverly on the last possession of the game.

Also, Donovan is lame AF.

Part of everyone's love of Mitchell comes from the belief that he would somehow make the Jazz "cool".

He hasnt. The dude couldnt even beat Gobert in the initial all-star voting count (Gobert is one of the, if not the most hated player in the NBA by the general NBA fan base).

Wow… just hating on our guy… must be fun for you to root for this team.

I think why people think he’s cool is he’s really good at basketball and does exciting fun things.

I think it's very premature as we've got Spida under lock and key for a few years, but if we're not making progress and he's disgruntled a couple years for now, you absolutely have to get capital in return even if it's just picks. Letting a player walk for nothing will set a franchise back for five years or more.

I dont think people think he is cool. Almost everyone I know outside of Jazz fans thinks he;s corny. He got no all-star votes.

His shoe are straight *** and no one buys them.
