We don’t need to… wood just got traded for 26 and salary filler.See what these picks go for this year -- Philly at #23 and Miami at #27. Obviously the Jazz buying #27 from Denver for $3M is ancient history by now, but I think late 1sts will go for around $6M or $7M.
Not really… the most recent first sent 13M in **** salary for a talented player on the Wood deal.
Royce for Green and 23 is totally fair imo… they may get a little better than that.
We need to go find some former players from Houston to really grease the wheels… go sign Ariza, House, and Nene… maybe we can get Embiid.
There are caps set on the amount a team can spend in a trade. It was $3 million for a long time.See what these picks go for this year -- Philly at #23 and Miami at #27. Obviously the Jazz buying #27 from Denver for $3M is ancient history by now, but I think late 1sts will go for around $6M or $7M.
Woj thinks Mathurin goes 5 to Detroit. I don’t see it in him but a lot of others do.
10M this year doe.Didn't OKC pay $0 in real money for Favors because they were under the floor?
You can't buy a FRP with cash, no one will do it, you can only do it by taking on salary.

Depends on what Harden does. May opt out and take less this year and get a longer deal.PHI has got to find a way to get off Thybulle, Kormaz, and probably Niang or find a Harris taker if they want Tucker.
Aren’t we essentially saying taking green dead salary and swapping him with a real player in Royce should get 23?That was Dallas matching salary on Wood. Not the same as buying a pick with cash or cap space. It was also a **** deal for Houston, imo.

I don't think the Sixers want a real player in Royce. I think they want to clear salary to get under the tax apron and sign Tucker to a full mid-level in free agency. I think the Sixers want to trade Thybulle into a TPE or take back a non-guaranteed deal like Juancho. They might want a future pick though.
Non-guaranteed contracts become guaranteed if you trade them.
I think they like Mathurin if Ivey is off the board. If Sacramento drafts at #4, it sounds like they're taking Murray (even though they should probably just take Ivey). That would mean Ivey could drop to #6.

Didn't we pay for the Rudy pick
We traded away #30 last year without dumping salary. That was the last one ever. Won’t happen again.

You said the only way that you're acquiring a 1st is if you take on salary? And that is not relevant to purchasing a pick whatsoever.
