What's new

Say Goodbye to Victor Wem if we continue to play this good.

Enjoyment-wise, this is like the 03-04 season except we're flush with picks and have a better roster.

God Bless the Cavs - they took Exum and gave us Clarkson (he's playing nicer than ever) and they sent us better players than the ******** Knicks were willing to.

We have a legit star in Lauri. He may not be a Batman but he's a Robin, and that works for me.

Imagine tanking for a guy who:

- has never faced NBA level talent or even top NCAA level talent in a competitive, sustained, team-based game environment where scouting is a factor (no, the stupid showcase games don't count)
- has a body that is extremely likely to fail catastrophically within 5 years of coming to the NBA... literally, nobody his height has ever remained healthy while playing starter minutes
- likes to handle the ball, which will be completely impossible for him in the NBA at 7'4'', no matter how talented he is
- uses a steady diet of extremely difficult and inefficient jump shots as the basis of his offensive game in a substandard European league

Let's just snap out of it, people.

With Scoot Henderson being a midget, I'm pretty sure the best NBA careers will be had by dudes outside of the Top 3 in this draft.

Regardless of what happens, I feel a lot better about the team as it looks this year as compared to last year. I won't mind some modifications here or there, but if the front office made changes to force a tank from here I'd be kind of disappointed.

If they sell at the deadline they can get back into the tank race, especially if Sextons oblique is severe enough to need months not days & with not being 100% anyway.
Granted he has not even been a factor yet, but not having him available if and when they do move Mike and or JC is huge.
Horton must have heard the boos though before last night and he played decent so who knows

Such a huge sample size of people built like Victor for you to base this BS of off.

*Sarcasm*

And Victor has a yes high level competition man. He plays in a pro league. He just played against Scoots team and dominated them. You sound xenophobic

I just looked at the list of guys taller than 7'2'' who played actual, heavy rotation minutes for years and nearly got a heart attack.

Not one of them remained healthy. Some even broke down even though they barely got PT.

Yeah, Victor is a freak. He isn't comparable to anyone. We are looking at a generational player with completely unique genetics. Right now you are just trying to find negative things to say about him for the sake of being contrarian.

Very dumb post

Not true, I want to see him become a true superstar in the league and stay healthy. The NBA is better when everyone's not cut from the same cloth. I just think it's extremely unlikely to happen.

Some team will pick Victor, and if they get outrageously lucky, he may change the franchise. I'm fine with it, I just wouldn't sell the farm to improve my chances of being that team.

Would love to see Victor on Jazz but having best player does not guarantee rings
LeBron has played what 20 years now and only has 4 rings
But Jazz would probably finally win a ring if they had Victor with a very good surrounding roster

...for some other team. Your generosity is remarkable.
No, I'd love it if by some miracle the Jazz managed to get him. Every GM in the league will take him at #1, no questions asked, and I understand it. In this insane hype atmosphere, you'll get yourself fired if you don't.

I just wouldn't destroy my team to get to that position. That's the major difference.

Lebron has been to 10 nba finals which is insane. Having the best player makes it a hell of a lot easier to fight for that ring though.
