What's new

Russell Westbrook just landed in Utah

Let Westbrook play
Then we can see two NBA players show up in skirts/ kilts/ whatever they are :) :) :) :) :)

You seem put much value for 1st round picks and that's totally fine.
Not me, that's the market value of 1st rounders amongst the NBA, as this last trade deadline proved.

I'm not talking about using them to get future studs through the draft, I'm talking about trading them for studs.

Yeah let Russ play. Some writer just called him a vampire in the locker room without thinking that can literally affect his family moving forward. Let him prove that media guy is wrong

Count me in the “let Russ play” camp. I would love to see it. Think the Viv would go nuts for him.

We can still figure out what we have with Sexton, THT, and Ochai.

Plus he’ll only need 10 mins or so to get his 30 shots up.

In Tony Jones's latest article he says even if Westbrook remains with the Jazz, he will likely play a very small role and get some DNP's. Say's the Jazz want Sexton and THT to get as many minutes at point guard as possible.

As much as I dislike how he plays and acts sometimes, I’d just assume buy him out at that point. Kinda garbage to trade for a guy to basically bench him - especially when other teams would likely play him more than the Jazz.

News flash for you.
We ( Finns ) aren't most optimistic / positive peoples into world.
I think you remember the survey wrong. Swedes are the most optimistic people in the world, Finns were second to last on the optimism meter. However, Finns have been nominated the happiest people in the world for several years in row. Apparently a pessimist doesn't get unhappy; either you were right all the time and can be happy about that, or then you were wrong and can be happy about that.

You seem to be a very unhappy person but claim to be optimistic. Are you sure you are not a swede attempting to disguise yourself as a finn? If so, you still need to practice your act, as it does not hold water yet.

Tony also said the ball is in Westbrooks court. He can either play for the Jazz, negotiate a buyout, or remain on the Jazz roster but just stay home and not play a single game for them. The Jazz are leaving the decision up to Russ.

Shots fired! I see a good old Viking fight brewing.

And, before you get on me about Finns not being Vikings, I'm American. Facts are optional, but highly discouraged.

I dont think any of that matters to hardy. I think the “jazz” have been wanting kessler, ochai, sexton, tht, naw etc to get more minutes since day one. Hardy didnt care. Give him westbrook and russ will be getting 33 minutes per game

If the front office didn't want Conley, JC, KO, Vando, Beasley to play, then they shouldn't have been on the team. A 35yo 1st year coach that comes in and benches Conley & JC is going to lose the locker room in a heartbeat and probably his job soon enough.

And saying that anyone with the Jazz was thinking in October that Kessler and Ochai should be playing major minutes immediately has a serious case of hindsight.

IF (major IF) Westbrook should ever suit up for the Jazz, he's doing it knowing what role and minutes are available to him. Unlike all the vets that were shipped out, all of whom had all the reason to expect major roles and starting spots.

And sure, Sexton could've played 3 minutes per game more and Mike 3 less, but that's neither here nor there.
