Funniest part is... I went back to the interwebs and Pitbull actually does an AS concert in Salt Palace Convention Center after the Saturday session, and those two mentioned perform in the Sunday pregame concert.

Damn internet for fooling me once again.

100% some hip hop or rap artist. Heaven forbid they have any other kind of music ever associated with the NBA. Hell I would be ok with some country just to mix it up a bit. But no, it will be a hip hop/rap group. I think they wrote it into the bylaws of the last CBA or something.

Called it. Man this gets so boring. Do they realize that maybe half of the entire NBA fan base doesn't necessarily listen to any rap music? Just wish they would actually mix it up a bit. Hell bring out AJR for a change of pace. Country. Anything. It is the most boring part of the entire event imo. Hell, mix it up with some reggae or something completely different.

True. Wouldn't kill to have some Bad Religion or Avril Lavigne once. Skater music fits to basketball well. Heck... We listened it when hooping. That or old school rap. BC I am old... Like F I AM old... If we did not hoop we were skateboarding and vice versa.

Yeah I am old enough that we listened to AC/DC and devil music when we played pickup games. Of course we were a bunch of white kids in Utah, so I guess that is to be expected somewhat. I get the connection to rap for a lot of the players, but it isn't the only thing in the whole world and there is definitely a chunk of the fan base that would appreciated something different. But as long as LeBron is running the whole thing and making all the decisions nothing will change.
