2023 Trade Rumors and Gossip Involving the Jazz

Ochai played very well as a starter. He averaged 13.4 PPG, 2.5 RPG and 2.1 APG in 22 games as a starter. He had a 19 game stretch as a starter where he shot 37% from 3 on 6.6 attempts per game. He shot 87.2% from free throw during that stretch as well. Plus he is a positive on the defensive end. That’s ****ing great for a rookie who didn’t really play in the first half of his rookie season.

He'll look good for a stretch next season, and everyone will jump on the bandwagon again. Fans are fickle like that.

This seems like a pretty great deal. He’ll eat a ton of Hendrick’s minutes but earning them is good too.

He will be worth so much more with us than we got him for so it’s a win, period. The years on the contract only go lower and him rehabbing some of his own value on the court seems like a given with this team.

I see nothing at all to complain about. I was surprised we had a second round pick to give at all, we hand those things out constantly.

It was a trash second as far as they go as well.

I certainly don't have a problem with SAHR (soberashotrod) I just think Ochai would have been fine to be in the rotation when the season started last year when we were trying to tank. I think a 4 year Kansas player with an NBA body and athleticism who has a high bbiq is about the best case scenario to be put into the rotation early during a tank year.
We just disagree. No biggie.

A lot of those pundits I’ve heard are pretty high on George. He does have that dog in him.
If the Jazz valued shooting in the draft it’s hard to argue with the guys they picked and where the Jazz picked them. That’s not a knock on the guys you mentioned either.
I’ve come around on Keyonte George big time since the draft. The more I dive into his high school career, early start to freshman season and pretty much every interview I’ve seen, the more I like him. I’m rooting for him to be great. He’s swagger on a stick, and the Jazz could sure use some more of that.

I haven’t done any dives but I do get the feel that he wants to be great. On a great team.

I did see a Screenshot somewhere on draft night where he didn’t look too happy going to the jazz.

However, I think the jazz are a great franchise for a guy like him to fall into. I hope he sees this and takes advantage.

Yeah, I have not beef with you fish.

Ochai is good and efficient in his 3 and D role. Would like the D part to get a bit better and if he can do a little more off of close outs or run an action here and there then great. He's just not some super high-level prospect. He's a guy I'm happy to have but not someone I plan around. He deserves a role but the forcing him into the starting lineup and declaring him off the table in trades is just kinda silly. I also don't really believe it and think its more of posturing.
