Merrill is not just some end-of-bencher who randomly had the game of his life. You can't allow guys like that to get going. We're making a habit of it.

This was one of the worst defensive performances of the season, if not THE worst. 50% is on the players, 50% on Hardy.

He also had a three with an incredible contest by Ochai and KO contesting it at that same time. And he sunk it like he was in an empty gym.
Sometimes there is literally nothing you can do. Especially since you can't defend in the shooters landing space and can't touch the shooter at all. Contest too well and you just give him 3 free throws or a 4 point play

Yeah I think that was his point. I did like Merrill and Porter Jr though? On a rebuilding team those are the types Ainge needs to be digging up.

One of Strus threes towards the end was heavily contested too.

I think one of the bigger issues tonight was defensive rebounding if anything. They got offensive boards that lead to WIDE OPEN threes.

Damn that was a beautiful loss. Hopefully that is the loss that finally forces managements hand with Hardy to focus on player development rather than playing vets. Hardy can't be trusted on his own to do what is best for our team long term. Hopefully we can follow this loss up with the Pistons snapping their losing streak against us.

Can't blame it all on Hardy.

Ainge is the one ultimately responsible for this roster especially when it comes to acquiring guys like John Collins. Hardy has to play him even if it takes minutes away from TayHenny.

Ainge definitely deserves some blame as well. He should have sold off Clarkson and Olynyk last year and adding Collins was just stupid.
