Perhaps, but 8 years of whining like a baby, spewing anger and hatred of political opponents, singling out a scapegoat, illegal immigrants, upon which disaffected Americans can focus the blame for most every problem they can identify, (which, by the way is a preferred and expected MO of cynical, self serving, demagogues), has really eroded his popularity, methinks. Demagogues. You know, the people who see millions of disaffected people within a society experiencing great stress from cultural and social change, and economic difficulties, and think: “hey, this is great. I can manipulate these people very easily, like putty in my hands”. That’s the man you’re supporting. But you’re likely unaware, because a complete ignorance of history creates the inability to recognize what’s happening, while it’s happening. In other words, peoole sleepwalk through that portion of history that is their own lifetime!
That’s what many folks, perhaps you are one such, don’t know you from Adam, of course,, are so befuddling to those of us who are able to recognize a cynical manipulative demagogue. I look at it this way: most adults have enough experience in the ways of the real world, to recognize con artists. And Trump’s MO screams con artist. So, it does puzzle me as to why a transparent con artist is so hard for so many to recognize.
I was never warm to Kamala. But I cannot ignore the threats represented by Trump. I miss the “old days” when people on both sides of the isle spoke to each other, recognized that compromise was required on many issues. I voted twice for moderate Republicans in Senate races. Years ago now….
