Very telling.
I also saw an interview today with Bill Barr being asked about trump.
Said something to the effect that trump is a narcissist who gets extremely upset when he doesn't get his way and is very difficult to talk down from making hasty horrible decisions. Said trump doesn't care about what is best for the country but rather only what is best for himself. Barr also said that trump would often say he wants to execute people when they upset him and would have to be talked down from that stance.

trump sucks really bad.

All that stuff makes his cult love him even more. He is the martyr. I have never seen someone play the victim better than Trump. He really amps that gaslighting up for his base, too. He should break out the koolaid and go with the aliens on the comet, to take everyone to heaven.

Nate Silver doesn’t sound that bullish on Trump….

“Vice President Kamala Harris' chances of victory have seen a boost since her debate against former President Donald Trump last week, according to Silver's model, which looks at the candidates' chances of securing the necessary 270 Electoral College votes in November.

Harris has held the lead in polling for several weeks, and nearly all post-debate surveys have shown that the vice president came out on top after her first matchup with her Republican opponent.

Silver wrote in an update for his Silver Bulletin blog on Tuesday: "The bold prediction I made after last week's debate looks to be coming true: Kamala Harris is moving up in the polls enough that the model is converging back toward 50/50 in the Electoral College," adding that the Democratic presidential nominee "is pretty clearly getting a bounce in national polls."

His averages find Harris 2.9 percentage points ahead of Trump across national polls one week after the debate.

"Arguably—arguably!—this is even a little conservative," Silver added, saying that some polling has found Harris much further ahead of Trump in recent days.“

Perhaps, but 8 years of whining like a baby, spewing anger and hatred of political opponents, singling out a scapegoat, illegal immigrants, upon which disaffected Americans can focus the blame for most every problem they can identify, (which, by the way is a preferred and expected MO of cynical, self serving, demagogues), has really eroded his popularity, methinks. Demagogues. You know, the people who see millions of disaffected people within a society experiencing great stress from cultural and social change, and economic difficulties, and think: “hey, this is great. I can manipulate these people very easily, like putty in my hands”. That’s the man you’re supporting. But you’re likely unaware, because a complete ignorance of history creates the inability to recognize what’s happening, while it’s happening. In other words, peoole sleepwalk through that portion of history that is their own lifetime!

That’s what many folks, perhaps you are one such, don’t know you from Adam, of course,, are so befuddling to those of us who are able to recognize a cynical manipulative demagogue. I look at it this way: most adults have enough experience in the ways of the real world, to recognize con artists. And Trump’s MO screams con artist. So, it does puzzle me as to why a transparent con artist is so hard for so many to recognize.

I was never warm to Kamala. But I cannot ignore the threats represented by Trump. I miss the “old days” when people on both sides of the isle spoke to each other, recognized that compromise was required on many issues. I voted twice for moderate Republicans in Senate races. Years ago now….
