They are the least of the Jazz worries. They are 4 games back at this point and have about 11 games left. Them winning might end up helping the Jazz more because they play most of the other teams. Things could change in the next week, but I doubt it.

I think they know but guys like Jenkins and Tyler are playing for contracts next year - so they couldn't care less - seems like they're playing as hard as they can. Similarly with Klay Thompson - he seems to be oblivious to the whole thing. That's 3/5 of the starting line up - so even though the front office would prefer that they tank - I don't think there's anything they could actually do to promote that.

Moreover, we now have guys like Zach Lowe of SI.com who's keeping a pretty watchful eye on the whole GSW tanking situation:

So to be honest it seems like a lot of factors are against GSW tanking this year.

I wonder about Mark Jackson then. I wonder if he will pull some players towards the end and make it seem like he is trying out other players.

I think the owner might have asked Jackson to keep it competitive but with a "wink" but not too competitive "wink".

Then after that Grizzlies' game and after that article being written - I think the owner must have had another chat to Jackson discussing how they might have to win "a few more games" to make it look less obvious.

Overall I think the attention they're getting now would make it very difficult to intentionally tank. I don't think GSW would want that kind of publicity either with Lacob being a new owner and all. Not to mention he did get booed once already for gutting the team at the trade dateline.

Even if they do the idea players on the court would tank is assinine..All the draft is for players on the team is a potential guy who could come in and take their job..The players are not gonna tank for a pick theyre gonna play hard and try to win even if they cant because the team sucks

Not sure how their fans would feel if they end the season 2-9, but that's what it would take for them to have a shot at keeping their pick.
