How much would you re-sign Big Al for?

15 million $.

$ stands for Mexican Pesos.
15 million Mexican Peso = 1,183,768 American dollars. I would sign him for vet min. But its an offer that he obviously will refuse, so i would just let him go and let the young guys play.
 
I'm not an Al apologist or hater. I'd rather keep him then Millsap. That said if He will sign for 10M per year you have to think about keeping him. He's going to get offers that exceed that and he's worth that much.

I would rather not re-sign either of Millsap or Jefferson and just move on with the young guys. But I've said that for a season and a half now.

stupid idea. 2 young guys? and 2 scrubs behind them?

whats wrong with sap at 10 mil per year so faves kanter sap can avg 33 minutes per game and some scrub gets garbage minutes
 
I'd have to agree with that. If it comes down to millsap for 12 or jefferson for 13 million. I'd pick jefferson. There r just to many teams with cap space not to throw a crazy amount at both Millsap and jefferson. Booz got 14, hibbert max, lopez max, mcgee 12 , jordan 12 or 13, and nene g ot max. So they both will be over paid. :(
 
Also, Jennings may already be physically declining or is at least playing that way. He's averaged 5.2 FTA's per game for his career yet only 3.9 this season.

Yeah but when Monta came they shared iso&pnr plays and Monta started to make the technicals instead of Jennings. I dont think its about him being physically declined.

I think we can go ahead and give him that accolade. Upgrading his minutes to 36 both last year and this year (a very small projection) he would be there. He has done it twice in Minnesota as well.

Upgrade his minutes to 36 this year and he still only averages 18.9 points per game.

There are plenty of decent bigs to be had for minutes off of the bench. Sap is not going to accept this role.

Jefferson is the better more reliable player. So if you are paying the same amount of money for them. Jefferson is the obvious choice.

Reliably what though? Levying a tax on your team's possessions and inefficiently using them every night isn't a good thing. Besides his defeatist attitude and slothful play.

put me on the team that wants to keep Al over Paul. that said, Hibbert got an extension of 4/58 so I dont think Al will resign for less than 10/yr...

maybe it'll be wiser to sign Al to a front-loaded contract ($12-$11-$9-$8), as he would still be the man (starter) then make a reasonable amount of $$ for his roll in yr 3 (w/ a tradable contract)!

lets forcefeed millsap and ignore jefferson on offense. then you will see that millsap = Jefferson on offense.

jefferson is just a "victim" of the fofense.

also millsap is busting his guts on defense. jefferson does not try.
i would take millsap for 50% more money than jefferson

Millsap is just as lazy on defense as Jefferson. And is maybe a worse overall defender due to his serious lack of size.

I would not pay Millsap as much as Jefferson. He's just as flawed as Jefferson and an inferior player overall.

when paired with jefferson, milsap is lazy on defense you know why.
cus why bother a team defense is only as strong as it's weakest link.
the center is the last line of defense. is the most essential possition on defense. and yet we have no center on defense.
so why the **** should you bother with playing defense when al is just gonna let players lay it up and in without lifting a finger.
when millsap is paired with kanter or favors(which is almost never) then you see millsap playing defense.
