What's new

ok, here's the "official" game dread - Bulls at Jazz tonight...

Man can you believe Thibs lost to Corbin and since everything everyone says about his numerous and countless mistakes he makes per second is true that makes it even worse. How does Thibs even have a job losing to the worst coach to ever coach I mean Corbin lost to the two rookie HC's so they = better then Corbin and that has to mean Corbin = better than Thibs using that same logic.

*no I don't think what I just typed is true*

"It's just one game."

Burke's propensity

I rather Burke shoot a lot than watch Hayward shoot bricks and airballs.
Better get used to it. He's a gunslinger in the mold of Allen Iverson. I only care about improving his propensity to score. The Jazz knew what they were getting when they drafted him -- a gunslinger who can pass as a second or third option.

Good win to keep the guys somewhat focused. Loved Burke.

Having said that, Chicago without Drose sucks.

Chicago is a team with a very good defense, but without Rose they are horrible in offense. Its just horrible to focus consistently on defense, when your shots are not falling. So teams with crap offense, will struggle most of their games. Thats also was the case for the Jazz, they could not ceep their focus on defense, after not beeing able to score.

Even though it slightly hurts the tank, shutting up those asshats Boozer and Noah was satisfying to see.

I don't want to rag on Corbin too much (ok, I do) but playing Lucas for 18 minutes and Garrett for none is idiotic and just more of his dumb "vets play" philosophy, unless Garrett was sick or hurt or something (the box score says DNP-CD and I didn't hear anything about him today).

Thibs already massacred Corbin earlier this season, thus he wins massively on point differential.

I asked this for weeks, but I think he tries to look more like MJ.

looks more like jordan when they're going down.

1 for 17 is a bit ridiculous but i don't mind our young guys trying to be assertive and finding their game.
that said, the long bombs are out of control. if we can't knock them down then everyone needs to reign that in and make some plays in the paint. (getting out and running now and then wouldn't hurt either.)
i would like to see burks, favors and hayward be more aggressive and creative going to the hole more often. we did it a lot more in the preseason. this year is a write-off. they'd rarely have a better chance to test themselves out.

on burks, looks confused out there ever since he took on the heavy point duties. has never lacked confidence so hopefully it returns for him soon. looked best giving us offence off the bench. with burke back let's get alec back into a scorer's role.

burke i'm really impressed so far. shows a fair bit and might be the guy who can find our big men some easy buckets. seems to have a reasonable handle but is by no means fast. hopefully just getting used to the pace of the nba and will quickly pick up the tricks he'll need to compete at that size.

can't see a case for playing lucas over garrett. garrett has outplayed him every chance he gets.

marvin and jefferson have surprised me. evans looks like he's really worked on his game. i'm just ranting now. sorry about that. i haven't posted in a while.

My heart missed a beat when Boozer put up that 5footer at the end of regulation. Thought for sure he was going to make that. He should've made it. Didn't want to see him sink us.

It's painfully obvious that Lucas is the worse player in the NBA, and only Ty thinks he should get minutes over Garrett...:(

But, but, but he is a solid vet donchya know? Vets >>>> talent for Tyrone. And it could be true, as he does not seem to be able to teach the youngsters much, he has to have guys who don't need a coach.

Wanted to say this a few games ago - Williams is our best pick setter. His picks are deep, hard and efficient.
