new format sucks. they needed an extra round between the best two dunkers
yup. that would've made this whole lot better. john wall would've done behind the back dunk maybe with 360, and george would've done vince carter dunk or maybe other 360 variant.
this is so lame.
I like the idea of head to head though. I feel like the future one should be tournament style.
First every dunker gets a dunk and then they are rated from best to worst. Best dunk is 1st seed and so on.
Best seed plays worst seed, like in classic tourney style until the get to the Championship.

i like this idea as long as lame dunkers like barnes, mclemore, etc don't participate

Judges were prisoners of the moment as if to say Wall's dunk was so transcendent that it saved or to use their words "brought back the dunk contest.", nice dunk yes, didn't suck, but it got no reaction from me. This dunk contest was so bad the one and only dunk that I got a reaction from me was a Mac dunk in the freestyle round, the dunk where he almost lost the ball. I thought it was pretty sick!!

I thought Lillards between the legs was pretty darn impressive for a small guy like him.
Wall's dunk was the only one to get a reaction from me. I thought it was transcendent. The judge interviews were dumb. Just let them throw up a number and be done with it.
And there def needs to be a final instead of that bs they had

Someone made a good point that if the west would have won at least 1 there would have been another knock out round. So with this format at the most there could be 6 knock out rounds.
O. That would have been much better. I didn't pay attention to the format or anything. That would have made it much better. In that case, the west should have fielded a much better team.
