What's new

CARLOS Boozer

21 Games into a season. Get real. Boozer NEVER missed a playoff game and was huge for us more times than not. I'm waiting the whole year to make a better assesment of Jefferson.

That Phoenix game was as good as a playoff game and he sat out with a fake injury. He put up huge #'s and provided virtually nothing on the other end of the floor.

The Jazz are already better now then they were last year and the biggest and most significant change is their PF actually plays defense and the guy they signed instead of Bozzer actually plays defense.

I don't have time for everyone's nonsense right now but I just checked the box score and it looks like Boozer is having another big game. You should be happy though, since they're playing the Thunder.

29 and 11. He was pretty much unstoppable. I'm glad he's doing well again. I'm also glad they beat the Blunder. Our game @ Chicago is going to be nuts.

Thank you Bozzer, for beating the Thunder.

@ Sloany: Yo duder. Ive got your back. You know this. I mean, in general. But whats your argument regarding Bozzer. I dont understand. I mean, no one is saying the dude is NOT talented.

Bozzer has great talent. He just wasn't the piece Utah needed compared to the other pieces they had, and he was overpriced, too often injured, slow in recovery, and poor on defense. Like most players he has pros and cons. To me, the cons started out-weighing the pros last season, and I was a pretty consistent Bozzer supporter.

...ok, so Boozer has had a couple good/decent games with the Bulls. Ever heard of "fools gold?" That's what you have in Boozer! He'll have his moments of offensive brilliance, just like he had with us. His pick and roll ability with either hand was something to behold! However, how about all the 5 turnover, pathetic defensive effort games he had with us? He's simply not worth what he was asking and what the Bull's are paying him! We are better off without him, and with Big Al!

Just want to make sure that you know we are paying Al the same as what Boozer is getting.

....I knew it was close....but still, we went as far as we could go with Boozer, agreed? Al gives us more of what we need, better defense, meaner streak, less turnovers. He's not as polished offensively as Boozer, but generally speaking, Jazz teams get better results when we are less polish and more substance!

Personally, I love watching Jazz games now. I don't get headaches after hearing Boozer yell for the 1000th time in the same game...

AND ONE!!!

AHHHHHHH!

GET MINE GET MINE GET MINE! While jogging slowly pointing at his man sprinting in for a layup.

I hope we can have a Booser thread for years to come.
I do miss the acne comments, we need more of those.

We do want him to feel welcome when he comes back, he did so much for us.
I sure hope nobody puts up a poster of Cece or anything when he comes here, or gets the people together under the basket to yell "And One" during free throws or anything. That would not be nice.

Lolwut? This season, Bozzer makes $1.4m more than Jefferson. So you're wrong there. Then there's the fact that we only owe Big Al $42m over three years. Roughly half of what Bozzer is owed for his deal. Seriously though, I'm sure Bozzer will still be putting up great stats and playing great defense when he's 33 and making $16.8m.

can w eput this bozzer thread to rest

all jefferson is avaraging more blocks a game, thats what jazz needed more off interior D

Close enough when it is that high of a salary.

You realize we are in the same situation with Al? He will come off his contract at 28 looking for a 5 year close to max deal like Boozer got. Will Al be producing when he is 33?

In fact, it is the same thing with Deron as well.

1. We won't be in the same salary crunch in 3 years as we were this past offseason. If Al warrants a max deal it will be much easier to do so because we won't have an albatross AK on the books. We won't have Okur either.
2. Nobody knows what's going to happen with max contracts. It's very possible they'll be much smaller by the time Al is a FA.
