The Jazz could monetize very low value assets (JE and TM) for future assets (2nd round pick) and cash (say $1MM). Nets then waive TM, use JE as a 12th man & save a few million in luxury tax.

This could happen unless the Nets find a suitor who actually would value AK at this point in his career.

Exactly. The point I was trying to make with freakazoid is that AK is not valued as a player. There aren't teams lining up to make a deal with Brooklyn. There's no other reason for Philly wanting AK.

After the 2012-13 season, Kirilenko declined a one-year $10 million option on his contract with the Timberwolves to enter free agency. He then signed a two-year, $6.4 million deal with the Nets that raised eyebrows around the league.

Owners ultimately called for an investigation into the signing, fearing some sort of under-the-table deal between two people familiar with each other from Russia (Kirilenko played for CSKA Moscow when Prokhorov owned the team in the late 90s).

Admittedly, AK has not played his best basketball as of lately, but it's a long way from what the RE-PEAT-TARDS would have you believe.

First of all, No!!!! Secondly, is this the only deal that Jazz are touching on?? Our office is clearly ok with being a losing team. They have no hope for the future at becoming a "champ contending team".
Someone is going to say something about Malone and Stockton now,, I know how it goes. Malone and Stock liked Utah blah blah blah, No one now days wants to play for Utah blah blah blah.
Of course not! Not with a front office that doesn't know how to compete or build a winning team. Not with an owner like Greg Miller who is content with missing the playoffs. Maybe elite players would consider Utah if we had and owner and management that held the same values as the front office that we had in the past. When we took what we were given and found a way to work within the budget and parameters to build a winning team. Greg needs to sell the Jazz to someone that cares about being the best and wont settle for anything less.
