Pelicans Game Thread

Because we're rebuilding and not making the playoffs and we want a the best possible draft pick. That's why.

I'd much rather see Hayward show he's a stone cold assassin, Gobert display his amazing progress and Favors continue to improve as a 2-way player than pile up losses. If Dante or Trey were playing well and we ended up with the 12th pick, that would be even better. Wherever we pick, we'll get a very good prospect. And Utah can make a move in free agency or via trade to bring in another PG to replace Trey.

I still think he was a ***** for putting that trade clause into a deal with Charlotte.

Glad we matched, though.

I don't think Charlotte even offers without it. They were trying to make it insanely undesirable so I don't think Hayward had much to do with it. He was just trying to get paid and I am sure he was genuinely happy we matched.

I'm so sad we didn't tank for the 2013 draft. We could've had Anthony Bennett, and instead ended up with Rudy Gobert. :(

Right. We need to start winning at some point.

thank you for this interpretation. I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of it...

Who knows if you're right, but I'll choose to believe this option.

The Jazz are now 5-5 with Exum starting and like +1 when he's been on the floor. Pretty interesting.

My goodness! I just checked the box score and New Orleans - without AD - had 17 blocks.

The refs were really letting them swipe at the ball, while on the other end, we would sneeze and they'd call a foul. It got a little better in the fourth.

He has had three decent games in a row. He is starting to be a little more aggressive. Snyder really wants him to develop that runner/floater, I would like to see him just take it the rim sometimes like he used to but I think that is what Snyder is pushing him to do.
