Potential Trade Targets

Tim MacMahon said today so casually that he wouldn’t be surprised if Sexton was traded before the deadline. Mentioned the Lakers and their ties to Klutch.
Tim has connections but it could be meaningless speculation. That being said, I wouldn't be overly surprised if it happened. A couple Laker picks could soothe the pain of the Mavs if Luka asks for a trade.

Houston apparently contacted Brooklyn about a Mikal Bridges deal offering most if not all of their picks back but Brooklyn wasn’t interested.

That's apparently '24, '26, swap in '27 plus a complicated swap in '25 (OKC is involved too). Plus a 2nd rounder.

What would it take to get Evan Mobley?

Seems like there could be a deal there. Cleveland is clearly better with a spread court next to Allen. If you let Donovan PG a Quin/Rudy Jazz offense, it's very dangerous.

Can Utah and Cleveland make each other better like they did in the last deal? Can we give them their picks back for Mobley? Mobley would be a great fit next to Lauri.

Kessler would need to be involved and that would allow him to start for them and trade Allen for more pieces or if not trade Kessler for more pieces.

Would you give them all 3 firsts and 2 swaps back with Kessler? Seems like too much to me. I’d probably keep one of the firsts and maybe one of the swaps too.

I'm thinking KO is gone. From the articles I've read there are multiple teams interested in him (contenders) and Mark Stein makes a good argument regarding a trade.

I think there's a chance JC will go to the Knicks. The front office wants Grimes and if the Knicks give us enough picks it will happen. The Knicks have 8 1sts the next three drafts - I know some are protected and 2024 is supposed to suck but they have multiple 1sts in 2025 and 2026 as well.

If they were to move Bridges then the rockets are a pretty ideal partner since they could get their picks back. Who knows what an actual offer from them would be but if its Whitmore, Eason and their picks back then they should jump on it. If I'm the rockets though I think I stand pat and let this young core grow together.

We have lots of picks in 2025, but 2026 would be nice. Clarkson for Grimes, Fournier, and an unprotected first in 2026 sounds fair.

Yeah, no idea.

Definitely not a deadline deal and would be more of a draft day thing.

I think we'd be lucky to get Grimes and seconds back for JC

Going to be surprised if any of the Jazz bench pieces being back first. Think the only player who brings back a first who has been (lightly) rumored is Sexton.

If a JC deal to the knicks gets done then I think it is either Grimes or a 1st. I don't think there is a chance in hell that it is both. There is still probably some bad blood between the front offices from the knicks perspective and he definitely isn't a must have for them. A trade for Alec Burks probably makes more sense since the asking price may just be a 2nd rd pick or two.
