Potential Trade Targets

Simone is a two way wing (rare commodity) and is better than Grimes IMHO. He is an upgrade and Thibs will love him - he's our hardest playing player. JC is secondary ball handler and can adapt. JC + Simone together is a huge boost to NYK bench.

You do this and you trade KO to the Sixers for a million 2nds. Maybe you get in on the ATL action, maybe you do LAL. Lots of choices.
I like Simone, but Sexton is our hardest playing player.

The wedding of Luke and Laura Spencer on the November 17, 1981 episode of General Hospital was the social event of the season. A union of Luka Doncic and Lauri Markkanen would likewise be of tremendous import. Caveat: Luke had previously raped Laura, let us hope that no such similar crimes occur amongst our players.

Simone is cheap and an expiring contract. What can we really get for him?

A first would shock me. I would think we are invested enough in him to bring him back next year on a reasonable contract vs a second or two.

Just looked at their rosters and I didn't see many decent trade options in Simones price range. There are a couple more options if we package Simone and THT or Olynyk but they are like Al Horford and Payton Pritchard for KO and Simone. Meh.

Sounds like another case of trading a guy just to trade him and getting some scraps back. I can see Simone suddenly going ballistic and averaging like 14ppg after he's traded. Don't do it.

Fontecchio is a deceptively athletic hustle machine who can make the open shot, plays team ball and never quits. He's also dirt cheap. You NEED guys like this on every roster.

He’s a RFA so I could easily see Boston trading us their first this year for him. Phoenix really only has seconds so it would be 3-4 seconds from them.

He was a great perimeter defender early in his SA days. It’s really tapered off since he became a primary option… even in SA. I do believe Hardy can get the best of a guy like Murray. So maybe he would do slightly better here.
He is at least a capable defender which is more than you can say for lots of guys. He’s also a versatile player which is beneficial. Lots of things to like.

Maybe it's been said in here and I missed it. But it's being reported Snyder wants to keep Murray. So that kinda hurts any chance of a deal.

But I would love to see a starting guard lineup of Keyonte and Murray with Dunn and Sexton or Clarkson coming off the bench.

He plays team ball off the ball but not with the ball.

With the ball he is just automatically shooting or driving unless its a drawn action or a super simple passing look. He isnt a black hole really, but just doesnt have any chops as a facilitator.

I agree that we should keep him. We are thin at midsize wings who can play defense, and Simone definitely is one.

I feel like JC has tanked his trade value for this DL. I just hope that doesnt lead DA to sell high on Sexton, even if we still need consolidation.
