WOJ just tweeted that Orlando traded Ibaka to Toronto for Terrence Ross and a 2017 1st rounder.
Masai makes those moves out of nowhere. Really good move for Raptors as their PF position was weak for last 3-4 years. Now if they can only can their stupid coach they may make some noise in the East.
They need to trade Jonas and just start the much better Bebe.
No matter who you start with Casey at helm Raptors have no chance to go past 2 round and maybe even first round. He is probably one of the worst head coaches in NBA right now. He was good as defensive assistant under Carlisle, as a head coach he is absolute terrible. Some people just don't have it.
He already coached them to the conference finals last year and took the NBA champs to a Game 6. I am not saying the get that far this year but I would not say they 0 chance of doing what they did last year. Especially with this move and DeRozan and Lowry playing better.

Yes but it kinda depends on how hard Ibaka will play. He can make a lot of difference for them if he plays like himself.
I post, therefore I am.
I dont really view Ibaka as a guy who plays hard. His value is pretty much his ability to space the floor and provide some rim protection. Pretty sure he was oft criticized for being soft/passive with OKC.
In his final few, yes. But Ibaka was always a game changer when he wanted to. His presence defensively accompanied with his shooting ability can help them imo, but if he keeps the "I'm a charity guy now, just playing it for the commercial side of it" attitude, expect another trade next year.

? Yeah, he can be a game changer, but it's not going to be through playing hard or providing "toughness" it's going to be through hitting his open shots and block some shots here and there.
