Calm down. You also didn't dispute that Rose was a weak MVP, which in other words means he probably should not have won the award were it not for the unique circumstances he won it in. How that translates to you as saying Ivey is a lock to win the MVP I could only guess.
If you think I am literally saying that Derrick Rose and Jaden Ivey are the same person then I do not think I am qualified to help you.
Well, you literally said “I don’t know how he isn’t Derrick Rose”. You wondered why I thought that was so heinous, and I told you why. It’s incredibly unlikely anyone reaches those levels and the logic used to justify that statement is weak.
If he didn’t win the MVP, it wouldn’t change my opinion at all. The reason why I bring it up is because it asserts how good he was. He maybe didn’t deserve that, but he did that at 22 in his third year. If he didn’t get injured, he would have been an elite player for the better part of a decade at least if he didn’t get injured. He also would have likely improved to heights he never was able to reach.
I don’t like D-Rose. Especially for his off the court stuff. But give that man his due. He was one of the best players in the league at 22 and only scratching the surface as a player. No one should start with Rose as the baseline.
