Never fails to amuse me when some ignoramus talks about Obama like he's Chomsky. He's a corporate lap dog like the rest of them. Still better than the current narcissist turd (if only because Obama is an internationalist), but that isn't saying much.

Conservative commentators make almost the exact same claim about the Dems. They have no platform other than Trump hate. I listen to both sides but the conservative argument definitely resonates more with me. The idea that they are driven by grievance politics is just an attempt to simplify their position to the absurd. There can be no doubt that a large portion of the country is not in favor of the direction that Obama attempted to take it, though. Many people believe, as I do, that capitalism (despite it's shortcomings) is the best economic system ever invented. It's far better than socialism and much, much better than communism. It's surprising to me that despite all the evidence there is such a resurgence of people who think they would prefer a socialistic system.

Yeah, let's just spit out reused dumbass ****ing lines they heard by their fellow dumbass friends.

You do realize we already have Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, public education, and the list goes on and on and have for decades and decades. But yeah, keep spouting dumb **** about Socialism that some jagoff said once once Obama got into office and somehow gained traction, I can only imagine because that's what happens with dumbasses. They spout ignorance and it's learned and passed down.

This response is pretty amazing actually. I specifically point out two examples from Trump that are more antagonistic to free market capitalism than anything Obama did, and this is what you came up with. Well done.

The most 'socialistic' policy Obama came up with was based on a free market friendly heritage foundation idea FFS. To a large number of people in this county their idea of socialism is just anything they happen (or have been told to) disagree with. It's used a more as a pejorative than as an actual set of ideas.

He used the word party so I just assumed he meant as a whole.
You should go back an reread what he wrote. He asked what Colton thought moderates would need to do to take their party back from the Trumpers. The point being that the 'moderate' wing of the GOP is politically dead within its own party.

You're calling me names? How old are you?

Forgive me. I don't recall what two specific examples you pointed out. I don't think it's true that Trump has been more antagonistic to free market capitalism than Obama, though. Not even close.

You mean, I've just been imagining the stuff about a Single Payer Healthcare system, etc.?

So far, that has not been a plank in any major political party platform, nor a major piece of attempted legislation. So, you've probably been over-reacting to stuff people have been saying that has no serious action behind it.

Wait, I forgot that Joe Bagadonuts never does that, just other people. Sorry.
