I’ve also seen rumors that Gobert hasn’t asked for super max deal, so I’m not even sure what or who to believe.

Still, the fact that Rudy hasn’t reigned in a contract year raises all kinds of possibilities and legitimate questions leading to speculation. And when it comes to unsubstantiated speculation in the media, that can lead to serious career limiting repercussions.

Not fake news but it comes from a college football reporter and was then spun off as reputable... Locke was pretty clear on multiple mediums that the report was false and he is actually sourced... but sure let’s continue talking about Rudy being a selfish overpriced diva based on **** the color guy for the Clippers said.

It’s interesting because I don’t think Atlanta does it... it’s likely not possible... the only place you have heard that is JazzFanz.

I think you play it out either way and that the return in trade would be bad.

There’s no chance that is on the table. Would be sick though.

And I continue to think Trae and Rudy would be incredible together. It’d be a great trade for both teams tbh. But Atlanta has to be bidding against something even close to that enticing. And they aren’t.

Not this year, in upcoming years it could prevent the Jazz from landing a key free agent. For instance Bogey wouldn't have signed for 15m a year. Clarkson wouldn't have signed for 8 million a year. Ingles isn't going to last much longer, we'll need money. At some point you have to draw the line, with Favors on board at an awesome contract and Udoka waiting in the wings its 30% for me.

People don’t understand the cap... if we let Rudy walk we won’t have meaningful space until Bojan comes off the books. So we can wait for a few years and hope a great free agent comes here to pair with DM... or we could just pay for the AS center to stay here... it’s a pretty easy choice but the mystery box could be anything... it could even be something as good as Rudy?!???

The reason it hasn’t gotten done imo... Ryan just had his press release and became official... they still have time in the clock and are dealing with it in the proper order. Get through the preseason and see how everyone looks and get ink to paper before the first game.

If youve read into Ryan’s statements I think it’s pretty clear something gets done. He volunteered that he’d like Rudy on the team for a long time and the question wasn’t about Rudy.

I’m going to say I’m 80% sure we get it done... 35-38... 40M a year... it won’t matter the amount... bunch of posters on here will complain.
