We agree on a lot of things, but I don't see them doing that if LBJ leaves. Guess it also depends on the severity of IT's injury. But are they going to waste a ton of money on a player who will be 29 with questionable health? 30+ is when most players just naturally start to decline. Don't see his age matching up with the maturation of the BKN pick. If Lebron leaves, I could also see Cleveland trying to get assets for Love. Also got to imagine they will try to retain IT next year, even if Lebron leaves. I don't see Cleveland going into full tank mode. They will probably try to do a quick rebuild centered around IT and the Brooklyn pick.
The Boston model is a great case study on how to build a team. They've drafted well and have their key players aligned very well in terms of ages. Horford is the only old guy at 31. I think a lot of teams are going to follow that model. The market for IT might be very small. Cleveland has so many old players they should have an assisted living center instead of a training facility.
