What's new

Chess Match Thread

Babe, I don't think I ever responded to your post. But I'm down to play a game. It's been a while. This goes for anyone who wants to play The Master (here defined as someone who won more games than they lost :p).

you'll be next after Log finally fails to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Wait. . . . will Log then have a winning record? What do you think this thread is, "King of the Hill". . . . errr. . . . King of the JazzFanz Chess Game Thread?

My intentions and purposes in this thread are to outlive all the Kings, or at least have some fun with it. Enes is gone, OB is gone. . . . Until they work up the nerve to try again, and beat me again, I count them as "losers". I'm still here. I'm the winner. At that rate, you'll probably disappear, too. Maybe even Log.

So what that means is anyone who will still play me I should honor with a victory, somehow. . . . ha ha.

It would be amazing if I could somehow get past Log's blockade and do anything. . . . with this game.

If you have any issues about all this, just let me know. . . .

going through this, it looked to me like I missed the notation on your move 25 that it put me in check, no "+". Unless you can show me that wouldn't be right, I'm going to put the "+" on your Bg7.
So, anyway, I looked back at your move 25 and indeed you had it with the "+", so it was my omission to begin with. . . . fixed.

That was a good move for you. I just returned from two days' drive and I want to sleep for a day or so now. . . .

So I looked at a lot of things here. . . .a lot of ways for this game to go in your favor. . . . anyway, I was thinking maybe it wasn't defeat you snatched a while ago, but a quick win. Or at least a forced draw. But here is something I had seen before, several moves ago. I think it's the best I can do. . . .

So it's midnight in Germany, and tonight I've gotta drive again. OK, Log, I'll compile the list of moves and build the pic. There are still ways it could all go wrong for me. Like I've said before, I haven't seen this game and have no way to explain the magic of my "defenses", this whole King standing alone in the center of the board thing.
