Or look at it like this, Mitchell gets into the paint at will and probably has way more opportunities to get Gobert easy looks. IMO those numbers are skewed because of that fact.Or, to look at it another way, Rudy gets the ball from Donovan more than he gets it from anyone else on the team except Mike, the PG. (And Joe, but Joe's not here right now, man.)

Just looking at the numbers for the whole team not passing to the big men, it's almost like that's the system - don't give it to the man inside, kick it back out for a 3. Which kind of makes sense, in that a 3 pt shot by a good shooter is the 2nd most efficient type of shot, earning almost the most points per attempt. You know what is the most efficient? A dunk.Or look at it like this, Mitchell gets into the paint at will and probably has way more opportunities to get Gobert easy looks. IMO those numbers are skewed because of that fact.
I posted this in another thread but it feels like it belongs in this one. He's passing to Rudy less than ever this season.
But think about the fact that Mitchell usually has 3-5 plays where he recklessly drives in and throws up a shot that has no shot of going in, usually because there’s 2-3 guys that close out on himJust looking at the numbers for the whole team not passing to the big men, it's almost like that's the system - don't give it to the man inside, kick it back out for a 3. Here's one: Trae Young has more assists (not passes, assists) to Clint Capella than Don has passes to Rudy.
I knew it was bad, I didn't realize it was *this* bad.
Hell, Rudy gets 2+ blocks a game, so he gets more passes from the other team than he does from Donovan.
They do a ton of passes outside on the perimeter. Pass and handoffs. To be fair... most of those are probably Gobert giving the ball to Mitchell after a rebound.

I guess this 2 passes a game thing is only in the post? Or right under the basket? What qualifies as a pass in this statistic?

Anywhere on the court? When a player passes the ball to him
Count it next game for yourself.Anywhere on the court?
Didn't I read that Conley only passes the ball to Rudy 5.7 times per game. So Rudy only touches the ball 8 times a game from Mike and Don including top of the key, front court relief passing, and all other situations?
Seems weirdly low.
