35 pts from centers wow
Playing inside out like that will be one way to counter small ball. If they can't guard us and our big guys are getting dunk after dunk that will make it very hard for anyone to pull their centers off the court. I also love how each of our 3 centers give somewhat of a different look on offense. Means they can't sleep on any of them. And Doke has been fun to watch. He has a ways to go on defense but you can tell he's just having fun and that's contagious.

Rudy's long absence was really a blessing in disguise.

Sure those early losses were ugly AF. But we gotta figure out how to play without him on the floor to stand a chance in playoffs.

Honestly jingles injury was a blessing. Much more athleticism and defense on display now.
Rudy injury was a blessing. Dok and whiteside are playing great.
Donovan injury was a blessing. He looks fresh as ****.

He was a negative asset. We spent second rounders in the deal to dump salary. Portland agreed so that we’d take his $5M off their books for next year.
Not sure why folks haven’t figured this out but shouts to Jazz PR for the voodoo they do.

JB is a waaaaaaayyyy better prospect.

Looking at the schedule the rest of the way, it isn't as tough as I thought it was. There are some hard games but there are also a lot of easy ones. We definitely won't drop to 5th and might even have a shot at getting back up to 3rd.

I would like to see us test out a small ball lineup as follows:

(5) Paschall
(4) House
(3) Royce
(2) Don
(1) Mike

Might that work in the Playoffs? I really don’t want to see Paschall play less when Gay comes back. I want to see more development from Paschall.

Geez, might House be the missing piece? It might be nice to have one more 3 and D guy instead of NAW.

Houston was backing way off of Forrest tonight, daring him to shoot. They gave him literally 15 feet of space on the 3pt shot he missed. They were also packing the paint on his drives. Forrest went scoreless and had 3 TOs tonight. The more teams do scouting on Forrest, the more we're going to have this issue. It's nice that he can take minutes and lighten Conley's load during the regular season, especially against weaker teams, but I'm not sure how much that is going to hold in the post season. Playoffs have shown that teams can't put perimeter players on the floor who can't shoot. Forrest has only made 4 3pt shots all season and is 4/18 (22%).

Forrest was good against Golden State because he could attack their switches off the dribble and get in the paint, where the Warriors didn't have much rim protection. However, Forrest is still a matchup-dependent player.
