What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

6'11" Arizona So. Chance Commanche had a career-high 14pt explosion off the bench last night on 6/6 shooting in 23 minutes.

There's so much talent abound that high-upside bench players seem to get quickly forgotten..

Kulboka's feeling it early. He really looks like a dangerous offensive player/shooter, he's shot a poor % for the tourney but continues to shoot confidently at a high volume, a big game here might be enough to put them in the chip.. Mushidi just led a comeback to close the 1st.

More racist comments about the dark-skinned players on Germany in the comments section..

Kulboka has 18 at the half on 4/8 from 3... Lithuania has a 1pt lead.

I'd link it but the URL's picking up on the language filter LOL - find it thru Fiba's youtube channel

I'd really be glad to see him in a Jazz uni -surprisingly fluid/quick/skilled, an oversized wing and has a great outside shot.

hahaha that was the game of the tournament... What an effort by Lithuania to outpace the much bigger German team for the entire match. Mushidi poured in 33 in defeat.

Kulboka was a major key.

The Lithuanian PG Velicka put this game on ice in spectacular fashion. Dagger after dagger after dagger in the closing minutes.

Hartenstein was pretty good but could've done more down the stretch 10 8 and 3 with 1 blk and 2 steals, one of the stls was particularly impressive with his right hand taking a guards dribble.

France is going to win this (as I predicted)

How's OG been this year?

Good enough to be a lottery pick. He just had 19pts in 19 minutes off the bench. There's going to be an arms race for players with that sort of build for years to come, thats a direction I fully believe the league is moving in. (not that they havent been around - Larry Johnson, Charles Barkley, Glenn Robinson etc.)

I call it the warlord wing position, every team/style could use at least one. Hayward functions as it on Utah and Joe Johnson has long been one and still functions that way at times, i'm sure thats one of the reasons why they targeted him.

no chance he'd fall past the Jazz pick.

I will be adding notes on Ntilikina here: as I said before he reminds me of Exum a lot. What is good about him is his jump shot looks much better than Exum's. He's scoring jumpshots both on set shots and off the dribble. He even had a mid-range pull up.

Frank is killing Italy. Much better game for him than the first one I watched. He's everywhere. He looks like an NBA player. Running the pnr, driving and dishing, driving and kicking, pulling up for 3p off the pnr, spotting up, disturbing Italy's offense on the other end with his height. Wow! He's at 13pts(100% shooting), 6 assists, 2 rbs, 3 steals, 1 block in 16 minutes of play. Haha, Italy started faceguarding him. He just ran the play we were running for Lyles 3 in summer league where he gives the ball to a big on the wing and receives it right back when he reaches shooting range and shoots right away before the defender decides how to react. Drained it. With a heavy hearth I think I'd say Frank might be better than Exum. I didn't see this last game and I underestimated him from that game. He's obviously much better player than I gave him credit last time I watched.

second half: Frank made a stupid foul and spend the rest of the quarter on the bench. This allowed Italy to come back. Stupid coaches! He keeps punishing Italy when they go under - another splashed 3. Followed by nice drive and layup and 1. In this game he's kind of all I wanted Exum to be.

I'm watching stitches. Impressive showing. I'd definitely trade Exum for his rights.. Mokoka is easily the best rebounding G in this tourney. Watch for Doumbouya to get fed in the 2nd half.

Well, it's important to note that this is his best game and he hasn't been this good in his other games(he's shooting 34% from the field for the tournament). Maybe he's just hot shooting, but his overall floor game looks very very solid.

Furious comeback by the sharpshooting Italians. Both semi's have been GREAT games. Ntilikina responds with a runner - France by 4.

I can't help but notice a good amount of racist comments on the side when I watch the YT stream for the French games. I've seen something along the lines of "This is an African team not a French one" posted more often than you'd think and I just glance at that ****..

You can hide youtube comments btw if they disturb you. It's pretty much always like this. Yesterday I watched my hometeam's game in a European competition against a team from Austria. There were like 5 Austrians that went full ncoloradojazz and commented on the jerseycolors(magenta) and presumed homosexuality...
The game Ger v Tur was the worst. Turkish fans have a hard time accepting that Germans with Turkish migration background elect to play for Germany - "Discussion" moved to soccer quickly, where a handful of half Turkish guys play for Germany. Add to that other multinational guys on the German team and a dozen of Greek spectators(Who needed Germany to win by 7 or more to remain in the tournament) and you have one of the most toxic situations on the Internet right behind child pornography and crazy religious content. Many Greek basketball fans are usually as crazy and racist as Turkish and Serbian/Croatian ones.

They don't disturb me I was just genuinely surprised at the frequency seeing as it's a youth event..

Ah it's quite normal for sports fans from those regions. Just consider how crazy you're about basketball when you're watching a u18 youth event. Those basketball fanatics can't help themselves. I'm not even sure they believe the **** they're spewing or if they're simply trying to troll/instigate.

The dude is literally crying on the bench after he intentionally tripped a player. I would be livid if we drafted him. Undoubtedly one of the worst displays of sportsmanship and manhood I have ever seen.

Yeah Grayson Allen will be the easiest cut off my next mock. classic Duke crybaby.

Did Marques Bolden get cut from the rotation??

This matchup vs UK should be a great platform for some of Louisville's players to drum up some hype!! Lots of Pro talent on the court.

UL recruited Fox heavily for a while.

Great game for Deng Adel of UL in a well fought victory over UK. Off-night for Monk. Fox and the bigs had some really nice games.

Thought Ray Spaulding and Donovann Mitchell showed very well too.

There were some ferocious dunks and blocks from Bam in this one.
