Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I kinda of agree with the general premise of this. We gotta stop thinking about "winning the deal" and just think about if a trade leaves us in a better or worse spot.

Side note, I think Brice can be part of the sweetner for PHI if we want to include less pick compensation. PHI would have a hard time getting a shooter like Brice on a contract that cheap.
Yes and no. Doesn't necessarily mean we have to overpay for the mystery box. I'd say Minny pick or Lakers pick and I would hold the line a bit there. PG may be completely cooked. If he was healthy to start the season you might recycle him for something shorter.

I’d prefer to keep Brice

I think Newell is a little underrated, but he is extremely boring as a prospect. John Collins with a messed up a finger.
I mean, he doesn’t pass the Could He Anchor a Defense or Spread the Floor test. That’s not an NBA rotation player.

I’d prefer to keep Brice
To be clear: you prefer to keep Brice over two 1sts?

I would rather add one of our young players. We’re at a roster crunch while being very far away from contending at the same time. We need to favor pushing the timeline out right now when we can.

A team like Philadelphia would also prefer known quantities more than late picks, too.

Not over two firsts. Over 21? Yes.

I’d move off Cody or Keyonte before Brice but I am a Brice stan.

2 and 14 would be incredible. get harper and i'm close to thinking Essengue might be a top 5 talent - i wouldn't take him at 5 as you could trade back and still get him later in the lottery for better value. if you could get Harper at two and Essengue at 14 (might be a long shot, but possible), it would be a home run draft.

That might be my wettest dream.

I don't care about the 21st pick except that we use it to move up to the mid to late lottery using other assets like the Lakers pick. I like the players there a whole lot better than what we can get at 21. I feel like giving up the 21st and the Lakers pick is the equivalent of getting a 3 year dead contract, giving up a very, very good player that fits a rare archetype, and another lottery pick for a third tier player pick. No thanks.

I don’t get the Coward hype
Potential two way wing that may have flown under the radar. Did you listen to the KOC pod where he was interviewed?

The Barlowe guys have had him in the 20s all year. Its not completely out of nowhere. I'm all the way in.

Best players in the playoffs were picked 11th, 12th, 33rd, and 1st overall. Best player in the league was picked 41st
this is true... but also these teams have some high picks on the rosters as well.

Yeah, I can promise you that isn’t true.

Limited upside, limited tools, rough injury history, just abysmal defense, failed to establish himself as a starter on a 17 win team in his second year, constantly called out by his coach, was drafted 28th overall in the first place.... I would guess mid second round is his value.
