Following Potential 2025 Draftees

BBIQ definitely is....I'm just a little dubious on the AST/TOV -> IQ translation. Think AST *1.5 / TOV would give a better reflection of IQ, but if AST/TOV translates well I can't quibble too much.
Doesn't this result in essentially the same measure? Just a different scale. But everyone is in exactly the same position relatively.

Here's a really simple metric I created by dividing BPM by age. I had to do this manually so I only have the top 30 players from tankathon (note they don't have BPM for international players). Here are the players that had a BPM/Age > 0.5:

Flagg - 0.88
CMB - 0.60
Jase - 0.59
VJ - 0.57
Kon - 0.54
Khaman - 0.53
Thiero - 0.50
Clayton Jr. - 0.50

Meant to say AST^1.5. Idk what a good exponent is….but the idea is that high assist, high turnover is weighted higher than lower assist, low turnover.

Players drafted in the top-20 with less than 5 dunks and a BLK% of 1 or less:

Trae Young
Collin Sexton
Kemba Walker
Jimmer Fredette
Austin Rivers
Rob Dillingham
Luke Kennard
Kendall Marshall
Denzel Valentine
Bub Carrington
Cole Anthony
Keyonte George
Jalen Hood Schifino
Shane Larkin

Guess who’s going to join this list this year?

Kon?

Not many non-pgs on that list

Kon is definitely pushing the limits for unathletic indicators....but I honestly don't think that above list is that bad.

FWIW I'm not a big guy on looking at stats to compare prospects. I think leagues/teams/situations are so different it's really difficult to say what is good for a specific situation is better than someone else in a completely different situation. My preference is to compare film and then use stats to confirm/refute what I think I'm seeing.

I've just gotten to the point with this draft that I'm really struggling to get excited about very many players. So I'm currently trying to pull out some stats that help me decide who I should got back and take a second look at.
