The second one of these giant wings becomes strong enough to be a legit big or have enough skill to stay a wing, they will probably pop. The problem is that neither of those things happen very much (almost never) for whatever reason with prospects like him.I’m starting to see the vision
And Amen Thompson played zeroDude has played 6 games against legit comp
And Amen Thompson played zero
Bailey?
TinyAlijah Martin is a guy I like in the second round. Whenever I saw him play live he looked like a guy that could play off the bench in the NBA. He has NBA strength and athleticism and I think he can shoot well enough to stay on the floor. As long as his role is just catch and shoot, hustle, defend, play in transition then I think he is going to be ok.
That was one of the arguments used AGAINST him. He played against weak comp and despite being overwhelmingly more athletic, didnt dominate as much as some would think.Amen was one of the greatest athletes in basketball history.
His wingspan is fine for a guard. He's strong enough and athletic enough to guard 1-3. I think he can be an end of bench/rotation player, which is fine for a second round pick.Tiny
If the 3's are actually 2's trying to play the 3, sure. His wingspan is fine for a guard. He's strong enough and athletic enough to guard 1-3. I think he can be a rotation player.
We just saw Caruso successfully guard Jokic. Small, strong, tough guards get away with a ton in the NBA which allows them to guard up. I'm not saying that Martin has that type of defensive craft, but he's the kind of guy I would think could develop it.If the 3's are actually 2's trying to play the 3, sure.
We saw The Thunder guard Jokic. I dont think Caruso could guard Jokic on a normal defensive team or if the Nuggets didnt have awful role players. We just saw Caruso successfully guard Jokic. I don't think I'm saying anything crazy here. He's clearly a second rounder. I like him, but I'm not predicting anything other than an end of the bench, situational rotation player.

No, I think he can, but I just dont see him as a defensive savant like a Caruso. I also think we have a better version of that player on the roster already, Elijah Harkless. My point was that small strong guards can get away with a lot and often guard bigger players. If you don't think that Martin can make an NBA roster, it's really not that big of a deal.
this is trash. doesn't even list essengue or fears (perhaps others too) and while i feel isaiah evans is nice, he is not even in the draft. for a consensus board - use this: https://www.rookiescale.com/2025-consensus-board/Here is a consensus top 60 based on 20 different sites. Compiled by chatgpt

Caruso's didnt guard Jokic in the tradtional "stay between your man and the basket" way. He guarded passing lanes more than anything and he had Chet on the weak side as a help defender who also effectively denied pindowns and lobs. He also hurt their screen game by switching and attacking the ballhandler aggressively so they couldnt execute normal PnR and DHO plays with Joker acting as the screener. We just saw Caruso successfully guard Jokic. It wasnt mano a mano lockdown defense where he was sent by the coach to singlehandedly take on the big guy. It was a team scheme thing.
