What's new

For those of you who don't like Jimmer...

I'm a HUGE Jimmer fan and have one of the worst curses I can ever imagine......I'm a non-mormon BYU.....for life. That said, Jimmer wont be much more than Eddie House in the NBA, IMO. I think He can come off the bench and spread the floor and get some spacing inside for the bigs to work. He can get his shot in the NBA, IMO, but his handle isn't that tight and will kill any penetration he'd hope to get.

On defense I think a lot of it has to do with Rose trying to save him for the offensive end but even when he's needed to help on D in critical moments he's still nothing to write home about. Maybe if he's not carrying such a huge load (quote and comment in 5...4...3...) on the offensive end in the league he can improve there but not likely.

Like I said, I love the kid but if I'm an NBA GM I see him as nothing more than a nice piece on a bench to give no more than 15 +/- mins to at the height of his career. The kid wins so he'd be a nice piece for a contending team as a pure shooter but wont ever be a star or even a starter.

Ladies and Gentlemen, you are witnessing the rarest of defects. This affliction defies scientific explanation. Can you explain yourself Bodhi? What could your attraction to that oddest of all universities possibly be?

I bet it has something to do with his giant nads.

My pops, who was 73 when he passed away a few years ago, moved from Cali to Provo (no, I didn't grow up there) when he was a wee lad......back in those days there was no ESPN, so you liked the team that was 3 blocks from your place. It stuck with him and the ******* raised me with the affliction (not the bedazzled shirts).

We had our football season tickets revoked because my pops would take smoke breaks every twenty minutes by the bathrooms and the other people didn't like our language. There are sooo many things I cant stand about the school (missions!) but I'm a die hard no matter how pasty my guys are. Will be for life. The Jazz are a similar curse.

There will be some teams that will look back and wish they picked Jimmer instead of whatever stiff they ended up picking.
That being said, we don't need a PG and should be looking at other players.
A second pick on the other hand, if he's available would be nice.

He's a mulatto (a mixture of races), like Mike Bibby, Jason Kidd, and Deron Williams. Did you know people can breed interracially? Welcome to the 16th century.

Thanks, I get that. So how does this impact the whole, "don't draft a white guy" debate? Should it be "don't draft a purely (not just seemingly) white guy who is American born and who plays in the backcourt, unless it's the 80s and they wear short shorts like John Stockton and Mark Price" debate?

It means they're not white. Vanilla and chocolate still makes chocolate.

American-born white players are rarely even RELEVANT in the league, that cannot be in dispute. The whys or how politically correct that is, I don't know and I don't particularly care. Even though correlation does not necessarily show cause, it's one hell of a correlation.

It comes down to this: Jimmer's shorts are way too baggy for his genealogy chart.
