Free Jazz Tickets

It's entirely douchey dude. If soemone gives you something free for a giveaway its for a reason. They are trying to promote something, its a form of advertising. Being from a completely different state and claiming tickets just with the purpose to scalp them is beyond douchey.

I figured they wanted my phone number, email and home address to spam the holy living **** out of me. If this was really for a test drive then they are handling it wrong. Just call people be polite ask them how they liked the game. Tell them what it was supposed to be for and see if you can get them in for a tour and a test drive. Most people probably will. Treat em right and they probably sell a few cars. My damn wife itches for a new car a few months after we just bought one.

Sorry white chocolate. I thought it was kinda douchey too.
Once I saw what was going on in this thread (people going crazy getting tons of tickets and trying to make money off them) I kinda regretted making the thread. I should have just pm'd some people and told my friends and family about it.

On the other hand I put it out there and you saw an opportunity and took it. I have done similar things in the past so don't sweat it bro.

I wonder if they saw this thread and realized they had ****ed up and made it super easy to exploit.

I wonder how many seats this amounts to. Must have been significant enough for them to decide to yank them. But aren't they concerned about empty seats? If people who tried getting regular tickets were told they weren't available (dunno if that was the case), are they gonna come back now and try again? How do they make sure those seats are filled? We were planning on taking the whole family down to eat at the arena before the game, and likely would have bought popcorn, ice cream, etc. Of course there's profit in that. While I won't complain about losing tickets that I wasn't charged for, I do worry those seats will wind up empty when they'll need a good crowd behind them. Isn't the front office most concerned about that?

We've been to many jazz games where it's barely half full. Chances are these recalled seats will remain, for the most part, empty. I don't see filling seats as a priority for them. We've been going for years & the only game I've seen full was the reunion game last month. LHM isn't exactly struggling so I don't see why they'd be concerned about not filling seats.

I agree with you that once in the arena you're likely to spend $$. Hotdogs $8.50, paninis $8, popcorn $5, soda $5-7, beer is just over $2 an oz. multiplied by however many people are with you it adds up fast. It seems logical to fix glitch, but not recall the tickets instead let those people spend money on concessions. My best guess is there were too many people selling the free tickets & LHM would rather see the seats unoccupied then letting people make money at their expense.

My little brother did this and he is currently looking to replace his SUV. My mom did this. She just paid off her primary car and her second car the transmission just went out.

Okay that makes sense! I didn't realize people were from other states, & claiming tickets for the sole purpose of selling them.

Not your fault. Most of us probably would have posted it, too. My husband and I went last Friday with a couple of friends and had fun. Planned to take our 3 kids this week. Maybe we went overboard with it and/or should have known better. Bottom line, we had fun last week with the game and treats (ice cream tastes better there). We're disappointed but certainly not out anything for tomorrow. And now the Jazz knows they can't leave stuff unsecured like that. Live and learn for everybody.

We found the "glitch" or whatever you call it because we did a test drive in riverdale and they gave us a flyer thing. Went to the site to redeem, no where to enter code, got 2 tickets, went to a game ... we figured it hadn't used our code so we tried again a second time but still didn't ask for a code. But they took the second tickets back. Lol we don't mind we went to a game!

We did get an email and took a survey asking about our experience at the game!

I apologize to everyone. What I did was extremely douchey and immature on my part. I was upset that I couldn't go to the game so I tried to find another way to make up for it. I had to refund everyone their money, fwiw. I'm glad everyone who was able to go to a game enjoyed it and had a great time. I took advantage of it and I took it completely too far.

Maybe so.
The guy who told me about it heard about from his friend who had been doing it for a while before I posted this thread too. If I never made this thread then I wonder if the tickets would still be available. I might have blew it.

Yeah, I'm sure that's it. But as bummed as we are that we can't take the kids tomorrow night, I'm actually more bummed that there might be a lot of empty seats.
Me too. I like it when the arena is full whether im there or not.

It's all good.
Like I said. I have done things similar to this and I'm sure many others have too. There was an opportunity there and you took advantage. No biggie man

I wonder if I sat next to your brother at the game. Do you work at hill AFB?

Ain't no guilt on my conscience. Tried to get more an hook people on here up.

Shoot, as a kid we used to hop the fence at baseball games. Sometimes the guard would see us an unlock the guard gate for us. He knew we ain't got no money an there were empty sheets way up high. What was anyone out by gittin in free? Nothin.

Hell, Millers should give the upper rafter sheets away for free. Poor people would appreciate it an probably by a car some day. I would probably go for half a game from time to time an buy a beer or two. THEY WOULD GIT MORE MONEY.

I think it's awesome that we got to go to the games. I have never enjoyed a jazz game as much as the one the other day. We sat center court 16th row for a great game. It was so awesome to be down that low. We spent like $50 on crap at the game, and didn't mind because our seats were free.

I'm buying more tickets to tomorrow's game, but really cheap seats.

Fwiw, I'm nearly certain the jazz guys lurk on this forum, and saw this thread. They probably also saw a bunch of lower bowl tickets selling and being transferred and thought something was up.

It was fun while it lasted.

I've done way worse. As far as I know it wasn't criminal.

Maybe they'll read this thread and realize that a free seat coupled with a packed arena, sales in food and gear is a good idea.

Maybe so.
The guy who told me about it heard about from his friend who had been doing it for a while before I posted this thread too. If I never made this thread then I wonder if the tickets would still be available. I might have blew it.

Wait, how long did your friend do it for?

There were two home games left, its not like the promotion was going to continue past next week anyway.
