Game #9: Cavs at Jazz Tuesday 01/10/2012 7 pm MST

hey atleast we got the win jazz 4yh in the west depending on what happens between la clippers and portland jazz might be third or tied for 3rd

So was that trout in the crowd with the Fabio Harpring picture? It kinda looked him.

Big Al - 30 pts, 12 rebs, 3 ast, 2 blks
Millsap - 19 pts, 3 rebs, 1 blk
Favors - 14 pts, 5 rebs, 1 blk
Howard - 17 pts, 4 rebs, 3 ast, 1 stl
Hayward with 8 ast

Also 7 team blocks and 59% team shooting.

Edit: Career high in asists for Hayward

Jazz need to learn more about how to rebound, how to defend without fouling, how to get good shots without turning the ball over, and how to drive without fouling.

They've got some great raw talent, but have lots to learn.

The refs were disturbing tonight! It makes me wonder if there is anything they can't do before they're called on it. In the second half, Millsap and Favors were playing defense like they would burst into flames if they touched their man, and the refs called any contact at all. One of the most disturbingly suspicious games I have ever seen!

Nice game all around. AJ with the complete game, not just points and nothing else, but a little bit of everything. If we get that out of him every game he might be worth keeping.

And I am not one of those conspiracy dudes, but the officiating was terrible. Favors last foul was a minor touch if that and did nothing to impede the player. Then Hayward comes across the top of he key and they almost knock him over and the refs have to look at each other to see if they should call a foul. It was a serious joke tonight.

It's hard to take the team first Al out of the game. If he keeps playing like this, do we still want to trade Al. I've never seen him be this dominant. Cavs bigs had no answers for him.

Also hard with 2 other bigs in foul trouble who unltimately fouled out.

I mean I'm positive that the coaching staff is telling them just the opposite right? Here is to you captain obvious.

I thought this was an excellent game. Devin is either reigning it in or he's moping.. It's hard to tell, but he's been a bit of a non-factor. The Jazz have to have four of the most talented bigs in the game. There is an offensive drop-off when Favors/Kanter come in, but when your interior D is as good as it is, it's just as good.. And Favors is no offensive slouch anyway.. The guard play, in terms of scoring and setting up scores is as terrible as it has been. But there was some great production from Howard.. Jefferson played out of his mind.. Millsap managed to be amazingly effective despite all the phantom fouls he was charged with. Good game. I can't remember a more horribly reffed game though. It's games like this that really get my paranoia about the NBA refereeing in full gear.

Jazz do have a lot to learn, but they are learning. Al is passing out, Howard looks better each game, the overall team effort is definitely good.

Overall, I really like what I see, and I enjoy watching them play. Looks like the team has good chemistry and play well together.

And hey, we are 6-3. Who saw that coming?

And I am not one of those conspiracy dudes

covering a vegas bet aint no conspiracy. you just need 2 out of three refs. not much of a conspiracy mate.

the jazz lead was maintained between 7-10 points the whole 2nd half.

so yeah 2 out of three refs could easily do it.

1 could also do it but would be harder

good news is the lakers are playing right now. after that they go to the airport. jazz players will be sound asleep by the time lakers go to the airport
