Game Thread - Jazz @ San Antonio

I didn't even realize that Rudy had the team high in points! Ha, ha...

13/18/4 in 29 minutes.

If there was ever any question over who should start, Rudy has outperformed Enes in every game since Kanter has come back. I don't think it will be long before he is sent to the bench and his agent asks for a trade.

Will Enes keep his starting job until Feb?

Very ****ing doubtful.

I was most impressed with his defensive rebounding and his sweeping hook with the left hand, among his usual studliness.

we're playing kanter and booker front court? with 3mins left in 3rd quarter... that just doesn't feel good enough defensively

There is something to Exum, perhaps his defense that usually reflects favorably in his +/- for sure. I'm trying to be patient with him, but it seems like he's starting to shoot one to two airballs per game now. He doesn't drive (he seems to be trying some new stuff in the paint now, which is good). He plays good D, but doesn't get a lot of steals with his length. I thought a lot of this was because of his conservative nature, but I saw him anticipate a pick tonight in which he looked like the other player was made of knives. I'm convinced he's afraid of contact, now. So, until he starts showing some fire and toughness, he'll just be another player on the bench that comes in and is just there at best and is horrific at worst. I can't remember the last time he has even shown "flashes" of what he could be. At least we had that to hang our hat on.

I thought his drive and dish to Hood for the 3 was really solid. Then his nice pass to a cutting Millsap was good too.

Trey had 8 assists and Cory Joseph had 4. To me, a "flash" is when you move out of your seat a little when the player makes the move. Think of Hayward's game against the Lakers, and then think of all of the moments where you were just blown away with his play. I haven't seen that from Exum in at least 10 games on even one play. I want him to be so damn good, but I am not seeing even glimpses of it. I hope I will soon. I'll let you know when I see a play the shows a flash of his future brilliance, not because I'm special, but so that we can both revel in it!

Stop watching NOW if you care about your mental health

Whoops, read that kinda late LOL.

Dante looks a lot better this game, good drive and kicks. Ingles and Dante both have this weird knack for passing out on drive and kicks even when opposing defences know they will never shoot.

Hayward didn't feel like he had such a bad game, but he was real poop on shooting percentages and such. But the offense was just painful to watch without him. I remember one play the moment he came back after a rough offensive stretch he had an assist to favors. Definitely could have been better game though.

Rebounding looked great. We live off offensive boards, and we couldn't get a tip to go in for our life in the first half. That hurts.

Well I only watched the first half and then went and saw the movie foxcatcher.
What happened to hood?

That's probably true. I guess I was just happy to see him do something tonight.

I'm with you, there. I went back and watched his assists, and they were nice. On one of them, he used that first step and just left Parker behind but would not challenge at the rim. If he can start going balls to the wall with that first step, it will change his game, I think. Let's hope he does it!

I thought. You were in the bismack camp. Knight would be oh so awesome on this Jazz team. So would Montijunas.

I was pumping knight from that draft but this board was ****ing loud about kanter. Not saying I am some kind of fortune teller, but he just never seemed like the right fit to me.

He looked more aggressive than ever tonight which made him REALLY force things. That drive and kick to hood was beautiful. I am still very high on exum. I expect him to get better each year. Off seasons are key for him
