GSW Draft Pick Watch

Watching the Jazz improve and the tankfest involving our potential pick, especially during the lockout-shortened season, is the most fun I've had watching the Jazz since the late 90s.

Was reading a warriors message board. One fan suggested they trade the 27th pick, Curry to keep tier pick this year, a future first and Favors or something close to that. Ahhhh funny stuff. Gotta love GS fans!

yeah I agree.. really funny stuff there:

Detroit and Kings are our only hopes!

I'm losing faith in the tank guys. If Sac's tank is stronger than ours tonight, i'm afraid all hope will be lost.

These other teams are putting on a tanking clinic. Wizards blew like a 30 point lead yesterday against the pacers....

Don't worry, im going to that game. I'm going to throw banana peels on the court to ensure the tank.

Still have nightmares or Nellie and Curry dancing around in 2010, when they won 7 of the last 12, and screwed up a solid 3 spot in the standings.

I wonder if coaches call each other up and discuss the best ways to tank without getting your team punished by the league.

"Sand in their shoes, man. You'd be amazed, it's just enough to throw their game off about five percent..."

Oh well, at least the Marcus **** Williams fiasco will be behind us.

Fire Riley.

Cleveland lost, so no matter what the outcome of GS/Portland, they'll still be three wins behind. Detroit played tough for several games, but has just managed to lose several. It may come down to Sacramento (and then the lottery "gods").

It does not appear that GSW is intentionally tanking. To many wins recently and they are currently up 47-40 over Portland at the half.

That's why I keep saying 'win by accident.' No team, I don't believe, tells their players to lose on purpose .. that's what makes tanking so funny .. you try at losing, but your players win .. hahahaha

It's impossible too. There are players on GS that are on 10 day contracts, or on the last year of their contract. How does it help their next contract to suck so the Warriors get a draft pick?

Either way I like the Jazzs chances of landing a decent seed (hopefully 5th or 6th) and getting a pick around 10.

Hard to tell, Portland does flat out suck now. They better hope they pick the right guys on draft night.

GS at 9 is perfect. There is no reason to believe that that changes as long as GS beats everyone below them and loses to everyone above them. I'm glad they lost against the team most likely to supplant them and push them to 10.

Look at Golden State's schedule for the last 10 or so games.

They still play Minnesota twice (once at the end when Minny will officially be out of the playoffs), New Orleans twice, Portland once and New Jersey once. If they can win half of those and suprise us with one or two other wins Jazz will have thier pick locked up.
