What's new

Milwaukee Buck's shrink calls Exum soft?

It's funny how overly protective about Exum as if he's their newborn son. Listen, from what we've seen, this psychologist is pretty much spot-on. So what's the beef?

Exum may well be soft.
But it's easy for this Bucks psychologist to say this.
Bucks had no intention of ever taking Exum.

It took Gordon Hayward 5 ****ing seasons to finally learn how to play with confidence and we're getting down on a teenaged Exum not even halfway through his rookie season? The irony...

Hayward was a #9 pick in an average draft. Exum was a #5 pick in a loaded draft. The expectations are not the same.

Hayward was literally 2 inches on his last shot in college ball of perhaps capping the greatest underdog team performance in college basketball ever. He proved it on a huge stage and it still took him a bit to adjust to the physicality of the league. To top it off, no one on the Jazz is getting benefit of the doubt when it comes to calls. It is one thing to keep driving to the hole when it at least gets you to the line. It is another when you continually get mugged with no call. If one thing needs to change in the NBA it is the *&%^&*%^& "superstar calls" system. . .

Kind of retarded to say.

Hayward's draft was/is 10x the draft that Exum's draft was.

Wall, Cousins, Favors, George, Monroe. Pretty lottery loaded draft.

I'd say his body language looks immature. He looks like a kid out there, swinging his arms and head around like a carefree teenager. He'll be different when he matures. It's also a huge mental adjustment from being a kid playing sports to a pro day in and day out.

Wow, you got all that from body language sitting in the upper bowl! You should call the Bucks, I heard they pay good money for this sort of stuff.

Not really. At the time it was considered fairly average. Maybe slightly above.

I also had amnesia and forgot how last draft was supposed to one of the greatest ever.

Just shows you how much people know. Can't tell how strong a draft is until a few years after the fact.

Doesn't that invalidate your point about Hayward's draft versus Exum's?

For what is worth Doc Rivers seems to be developing a man crush on a second of our players after Hayward. Here's what he said about Exum:
