If the best piece of defending argument they can make is saying "I saw the whole thing and it's not rigged" or "as a reporter I touched the ping pong balls myyself", it's basically admitting that they don't have an independent governing body to fully examine the lottery balls. Or else they would not have repeated the same talking point over and over without ever mentioning it.

Ernst & Young overseas the whole process.

What country are they in then? How can they observe the lottery from there?
America, duh. It’s not the league who overseas it but Ernst & Young. The question is who the third party is that it’s outsourced to overseas. It’s a type of Temu drop-shop lottery.

It's wild to me that people really believe the NBA is actively ****ing multiple billionaire owners over to appease a select few.
Cuz the ratings were tanking. Luka to the Lakers were at least making headlines and grabbing people's attention. Getting Luka in LA alone was making the League millions. Not to mention helping out the Spurs could set up Wemby as the next big thing and earn them $$ from the European market.

And yes they can **** billionaire owners over as long as it's under the disguise of "fair and unbiased" odds. 14% simply made it much easier for them to rig and mess with the odds. No bottom team has won the lottery since they implement the new lottery odds in 2019, which would be unheard-of if they were still above 20% from the old rules. 14% is also the worst draft odds in all of American sports and it clearly isn't working.

I'm not sure that's anyone's argument. If it is, it's a minority and it's people who should be disregarded.
